buracos,e dois campos de 9 buracos - o Academy e o Resort.
O Academy é um campo de golfe de 9 buracos, originalmente
desenhado para jogadores principiantes nesta modalidade
desportiva, é também um excelente campo para o golfista mais
experiente que pretenda praticar e desenvolver o seu short game.
Os 18 buracos do Campo de Golfe Sir Henry Cotton, são os que
no Algarve, se não em todo o Portugal, propiciam os testes mais
exigentes às capacidades de qualquer jogador de golfe. De todos
os par 3, o mais marcante é, sem dúvida, o buraco 13, eleito um dos
melhores 500 buracos em todo o mundo!
The Academy Course was specifically designed for the intermediate
golfer with a nine-hole executive experience, ideal for all-round
holiday golf. The greens are reasonably short, and therefore
accuracy off the tee and for approach shots is required; providing a
great opportunity for players to fine tune their short game.
A pioneer amongst golf resorts in the Algarve, Penina Hotel &
Golf Resort is the only resort in Portugal to have three golf courses
within its 360-acre (145 hectare) estate. These include the nine-hole
Academy Course and 9-hole Resort Course – but it’s the 18-hole Sir
Henry Cotton Championship Course that Penina is famous for.
The Sir Henry Cotton Championship Course provides one of the
most challenging and rewarding golf experiences in the Algarve.
Among the course’s many memorable holes is the famous 13th
par 3, which has been voted one of the best 500 holes in the world.

O Resort, pode ser considerado um desafio para os jogadores mais
experientes, sendo também um excelente campo de treino para
principiantes neste desporto. Este campo compreende 9 buracos ,
rege-se pelos mesmos princípios estabelecidos para o campo Sir
Henry Cotton e possui um número de lagos e obstáculos de areia
que põem à prova os golfistas mais talentosos.
The Resort Course provides both a challenge for the more
experienced player and an ideal gentle training ground for the
beginner. The 9-hole course was created specifically by Sir Henry
Cotton to test the abilities of golfers of all levels. Its range of lakes
and sand hazards combine for a truly enjoyable golfing experience.
