Trophies of the festival
The trophies given to the winners of the competition of "Festival Audiovisuel
International Musée & Patrimoine" are different at each edition.
Traditionally, it is requested from the host country to carry out the trophy by
integrating a double symbolic topic, on one hand heritage and national art,
on the other hand, new technologies.

new technologies.
Brazil
Resin copy of “the study of hand” of Auguste RODIN,
carried out by the moulding workshop of the Réunion
des Musées Nationaux de France, assembled on a movie
box and reflected on a CD.
The hand symbolizes at the same time the creative act,
the artist and the art object, while the CD represents at
the same time the vector of knowledge and the new
technologies, as well as the mirror which values Art.
Taiwan 2004
The trophy consists of a base made of out of an
invaluable wooden piece surmounted by a gracious
silhouette whose arms raised in offering a disc. This
character is a fairy.
The bronze disc is a reproduction of the “Sublime Mirror”
of the Han dynasty also known as the "immortal divine
mirror". The circle symbolizes the sky.
On the other side of the mirror is affixed a CD-ROM, the
new kind of mirror which announces the advent of the
age of the multimedia, and represents the contemporary
support of knowledge and the vector of their
transmission.

Edition 2012 of the festival
Organized in collaboration with the Board of Montréal Museum Directors (BMMD),
the AVICOM Committee’s 2012 Conference was hold in Montreal, Canada from
October 9–12, 2012 at the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA), during the
AVICOM Committee’s annual meeting. The Topic of the edition 2012 is: the
development of new technologies and of new trades of museology.
The symposium was the opportunity to listen to presentations by specialists in
new technologies of sound and image. Coming from various countries, they work
for museums, create educational programs or responsible for heritage
institutions. Others are producers or try to predict the future of technological
development.
Considerations on “current reality and ethical positioning”, the conference
proposed to draw a parallel between the evolution of the practice of certain trades
of museology and collectively ; it allows to start a reflexion on the implications of
these practices as regards to new quasi obligatory partnerships between the
private sector and the public one, the contents and the container.
This symposium was followed by the results of the competition of the "Festival
International de l'Audiovisuel et du Multimédia sur le Patrimoine" (FIAMP). The
official Selection selected in the category “audio-visual” 14 short film, 6 mediumlength film, and 1 full-length film; in the “multi-media” category 2 CD-ROMs, 6
websites, 6 programs online, and 22 terminals and applications; and 6 programs
in the “new museography” category...
