But Porto is also a modern city that knows how to embrace contemporaneity, and that is what happens with architecture. The architecture of the North of Portugal is world known, and a small country like Portugal has two Pritzker awarded architects, both from Porto, Siza Vieira and Souto de Moura. For building a significant cultural equipment as its Casa da Música (a concert hall) it was chosen another Pritzker awarded architect, Rem Koolhaas. We propose to visit three cultural buildings designed by each Pritzker Prize: Casa da Música by Koolhaas, Cultural centre Casa das Artes by Souto de Moura and Contemporary Art Museum of Serralves by Siza.
