Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will NOT take place
during Holy Week. The Chapel will be open for those who
wish to make a visit.
Sunday is Palm Sunday.
The 10:30 Mass will begin at Aquinas
Center and then there will be a procession
into the Church. Everyone is invited to carry
a palm and join in the singing as we begin
Holy Week.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered
on Holy Saturday From 11:00 to noon-not from
3:30 to 4:30
Eighth annual Good Friday Prayer Walk in reparation for the sin
of abortion
We will meet at Sacred Heart Church, 10800 Henderson
Road (intersection of Hwy. 126 and Wells Road) at 8:45 AM and
walk to the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic on Ralston Avenue in
Ventura. Along this five-mile, three-hour walk, we will pray the
Rosary and other devotions, sing hymns, and make the Stations of the
Cross. There will be a van available to help those who need to take a
break. Rides back to the church will be provided.

Palm Sunday
This Week, we watch events unfold and
we bring our own fragileness to the
celebrations. We identify with the crowds, knowing
that we too have not always been willing to stand up
for our beliefs, preferring to be accepted by those
around us. We have been pliable when we should have
been firm. Maybe our sense of commitment was tepid
in the best times. In spite of that Our Lord offers us
His Life and gives us Relief. He calls us to change our
lives and join him on a path to eternal life. Let us ask
for the grace and strength to step out of the crowd
this year and join them.

Spring Festival 2011 - Silent Auction
April 30-May 1.
Dust off that old china set that you have never used,
crystal, lamps, beautiful old furniture in the garage, jewelry,
art work, fine clothing items, memorabilia and consider donating them to the Silent Auction at our Spring Festival. If
you have any service certificates or meal certificates that
you could donate, please consider. The Silent Auction is a
very successful fundraiser and goes directly to the parish.
Please leave a description of the item donated and an
estimated value so that we can set appropriate bidding
prices.

Books, DVDs, Videos
It’s time again to begin collecting for the Parish
Festival Book Booth. There are collection boxes in the
vestibule of the church for your used books, DVDs,
videos, or CDs. Please no magazines, encyclopedias, or
Reader’s Digest condensed books. If you need a pick
up, please call Rod and Jean Smith at 646-9584.

taken up on HOLY THURSDAY at the

WYD Spaghetti Dinner Fund Raiser
WYD Teens to Madrid will host a Spaghetti Dinner Fund Raiser on Sat., May 7
from 6-9pm in the church hall. Please
come and support your teens as they prepare for their journey to Madrid in August. Tickets will be sold after each of the weekend
masses ($10 – Adults; $5 – Children 12&under; $30 – Family
(2 Adults & 3 Children).
Friday, April 22 is the Collection for the Holy Land.
For your Convenience, there will be envelopes in the
pews. Thank you for your support.
Family Hiking Day
Our family hiking group will meet at Wheeler’s Gorge Nature
Trial today (Sunday ) at 1pm. Bring Sturdy shoes, Water and
a snack and join in the fun. We will meet again of the 1st of
May at Potrero John trail on HWY 33 past Rose Valley. Hope

Carta ala Comunidad
Domingo de Ramos
Esta semana, vemos como van
desarrollándose los acontecimientos, y para tomar parte en estas celebraciones, traemos nuestra propia fragilidad. Nos identificamos con las
multitudes, reconociendo también que nosotros no
siempre hemos tenido la voluntad de defender
nuestra creencias, y preferimos aceptar lo que
hace la mayoría. Hemos estado de un lado a otro
cuando debimos permanecer firmes. Posiblemente
nuestro sentido de compromiso ha sido débil, esperando tiempos mejores. A pesar de todo, Nuestro Señor nos ofrece Su Vida y nos da su ayuda.
Jesús nos pide que cambiemos nuestras vidas y
que nos unamos a Él en el camino hacia la vida
eterna. Pidamos por la gracia y la fuerza de salir
de entre la multitud y de ahora en adelante permanecer con el Señor.

WYD Cena Espagueti Recaudación de Fondos
Sábado, 7 de Mayo de 6 de la tarde a 9 de la noche en
el Salón parroquial. Se hará un Cena Espagueti para
Recaudar Fondos. Vengan y apoyen a los jóvenes que
se preparan en la jornada para ir en Agosto a Madrid.
Los boletos serán vendidos después de cada una de las
misas de fin de semana ($10.00 adultos $5.00 niños de
