2. EDUCATION
2006 – Present
Ph.D. Plant Biology, University of California, Davis, USA – My research
interests are to better understand the mechanisms involved in Ca++ deficiency
development in plants. The main hypothesis are that Ca++ deficiency is not only
triggered by total fruit Ca++ content, but also by inadequate Ca++ homeostasis in
the cell.
2004 – 2006
M.Sc. Agronomy, Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil – The research
was focused on the development of appropriate storage conditions to maintain
high processing quality and delay physiological aging of potato tuber.
1999 – 2004
B.S. Agronomy, Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil – Associated
with my B.S. in Agronomy, I worked with postharvest research of fruits,
vegetables, flowers, and grains.
