Dia de São Patrício

Dear OLM Families,
Tomorrow, March 17th, we celebrate Saint Patrick´s Day.
It is believed St. Patrick, a Roman-Britain-born Christian missionary, was born in
the late fourth century and is credited with bringing Christianity to the Irish
people. Later, the Irish immigrants began observing the holiday in Boston in 1737
and the first St. Patrick’s Day parade was held in New York City in 1766.
All students at OLM are
invited
to
celebrate
this
holiday by wearing green to
school tomorrow

Caras Familias OLM,
Amanhã, dia 17 de março, celebraremos Saint Patrick´s Day (Dia de São Patrício).
Acredita-se que São Patrício, um missionário Cristão nascido na Bretanha durante
o Império Romano, no final do século IV, propagou a fé Cristã na Irlanda. Mais
tarde, os imigrantes irlandeses em Boston começaram a celebrar esse feriado em
1737, e o primeiro desfile em sua homenagem aconteceu na cidade de Nova Iorque
em 1766.
Convidamos todos os alunos da OLM a celebrar este feriado vindo de verde para a
escola amanhã.
