Historicamente, o valor biológico ou a riqueza e diversidade de espécies
tiveram pouca ou nenhuma importância ao longo dos ciclos de exploração
dos ecossistemas. Então, após décadas de degradação, surge a instituição
Reserva Legal, com o propósito de garantir funções sociais e ecológicas
visando manter a integridade de remanescentes florestais. Como estratégia,
este trabalho alicerça-se na possibilidade de manejar áreas de Reserva
Legal no Estado de São Paulo, com a finalidade de uso econômico
buscando impulsionar os proprietários rurais a reflorestar as reservas,
conforme critérios estabelecidos nos seguintes instrumentos: Código
Florestal Brasileiro, Lei 12.927, Resolução SMA 44 e Decreto 53.939.
Com base em estudos, propôs-se como estratégia econômica a silvicultura
de duas espécies eucalipto e teca e o uso da seringueira para a extração do
látex. Os resultados demonstraram que duas das espécies eleitas
apresentam potencial econômico na região: eucalipto e seringueira.
Portanto, conclui-se que tanto as espécies do gênero Eucalyptus aqui
indicadas, como a Hevea brasiliensis (seringueira), são ideais para a
recomposição das Reservas Legais no Pontal do Paranapanema, pois
cumprem as funções ecológicas, sociais e econômicas.
The biological value or the diversity and wealth of species had little or no
importance at all along the cycles of exploitation of ecosystems. Then,
after decades of degradation, the institution Reserva Legal arises with the
purpose of guaranteeing social and ecological functions aiming to ensure
the integrity of the remaining forests. As a strategy, this assignment is
founded on the possibility of handling legal forest reserve areas in the State
of São Paulo, trying to make landowners aware of the economic
advantages of reforestation, according to the criteria set out in: the
Brazilian Forest Code, Law 12,927 Resolution SMA 44 and Decree
53,939. Based in studies, silviculture of two species - eucalyptus and teak and the use of rubber trees for the extraction of latex were proposed as an
economic strategy. The results have showed that two of the elected species
have economic potential in the region: eucalyptus and rubber
trees. Therefore, it has been concluded that both species of the genus
Eucalyptus listed here and Hevea brasiliensis (rubber tree) are ideal for the
recovery of Legal Forest Reserves at the Pontal do Paranapanema for
meeting the necessary ecological, social and economic functions.
