Terms & Conditions
Rates include Kitchen kit, Insurance for one driver, Unlimited Mileage, Toilet Chemical etc. Extra driver on
insurance cost an additional €10 per Day. Motorhome hire for Ireland and the UK, if you wish to travel to
Europe please contact us to discuss same. There is an additional charge of € 15 per day if travelling to the
UK.
Reservations
A deposit of €250 Euro is required to secure an advance booking. There is a minimum duration of 4 days
for hire. Two proofs of ID are required, one showing current address.
Drivers
Shall be 25-70 years of age, and have held a full licence for a minimum 5 years. Licences must be free of
endorsements (except minor speeding/parking offences). Maximum 2 drivers allowed. Any driver who has
medical or legal restrictions on driving MUST inform Cara Motorhomes in advance. The full driving licence
must be produced for inspection at time of collection. One driver is included in rate. Max. 2 drivers.
Insurance
The hirer is responsible to the amount of the caution deposit for damage to the Motorhome or any third
party and associated costs including recovery. The client should note that failure to declare an accident is a
criminal offence.
Caution Deposit
No damage to motor home or any third party. Motor home vacated on time, clean, refuelled and toilet
emptied. No additional costs have been incurred during the period of rental. The hirer shall be liable for
any expenses or costs through violation of regulations. An administration charge will be made if the hirer
does not notify Cara Motor Homes. Damage to the tyres and windscreens shall be the hirer’s
responsibility. The hirer is required to check regularly the water and oil levels in the engine and tyre
pressures. Any malfunction, breakdown or repairs caused by the negligence of the hirer shall be made
good at the expense of the hirer.
Accidents
It is the hirers’ responsibility to complete the accident form where an accident occurs and to notify Cara
Motor Homes. Where any person is injured the police/guards must be contacted. Failure to report an
accident or damage to Cara Motor homes can result in the loss of all or part of the caution deposit. In the
event of damage, breakdown or an accident NOT due to hire negligence, which deprives the hirer of the
complete use of the vehicle, the liability of Cara Motor home shall be limited to the refund of rental
charges for any days lost. Hirer is not entitled to a replacement vehicle in cases of excessive misuse or
negligent damage.
Cancellation by Cara Motor Homes Ltd.,
Cara Motor homes reserve the right to cancel a reservation at the commencement of hire when:o Nominated drivers licence is not produced or is not valid and not in accordance with the stated
conditions.
o Over occupancy of booked Motorhome
o Address on drivers licence must match booking/billing address or additional proof of ID is required
o Hirer from outside UK or ROI fails to produce a valid passport. UK/ROI must produce 2nd form of ID
o In these circumstances all monies paid by the hirer shall be forfeited. Cara Motorhomes reserves the
right to refuse to hire to any person, without stating cause.Booking deposit may be refunded in this
case
Cancellation Policy
When six weeks notice is given of Cancellation €100 of the booking deposit is retained. When six to four
weeks notice is given the deposit is forfeited. When less than four weeks notice is given, every effort will
be made on our part to re-let the motor home. Should we be unable to do so, full rental charges will be
forfeited
Availability
Cara Motorhomes shall make every effort to ensure that the vehicle you reserve is available at the agreed
time. If for any reason it is not available, we shall endeavour to make another vehicle available without
extra cost, however, if this is not acceptable or another vehicle proves unobtainable, our liability is limited
to the refund on any money paid
Pets
No domestic pets or animals shall be permitted in vehicles. Guide dogs shall normally be accepted.
Violation shall incur Euro100 extra cleaning cost
Security/Damage Deposit
The hirer must pay security deposit of €1,250 before taking the Motorhome on hire (cash or bank
transfer). This deposit is secured against damage caused by hirer. This includes loss of sky lights, mirrors,
window or windscreen damage, tyre damage, and any damage to Motorhome body etc
Collection/Return
Motorhomes are available for collection from 12.00hrs on first day of hire. Motorhome must be returned
before 12.00hrs on last day of hire. Motorhomes should be returned with a full tank of fuel, toilet emptied
and cleaned, otherwise cost of €100.00 incurred.
