Créditos: 1 (um). Carga Horária Semanal: 1T - 1P. Carga Horária Total: 30 (trinta) horas. Requisitos: Não há. OBJETIVOS GERAIS DA DISCIPLINA: Capacitar o aluno a desenvolver uma visão crítica a respeito das principais hipóteses sobre a origem da vida e a evolução dos organismos. CONTEÚDO PROGRAMÁTICO: Criacionismo e Evolucionismo, aspectos filosóficos e principais hipóteses; influência das várias correntes de pensamento no desenvolvimento da ciência. Modelos de evolução pré-biótica: polimerização de moléculas auto-replicantes. Compartimentação das moléculas: formação de células. Fontes hidrotermais do fundo do mar. Visão crítica dos modelos evolutivos existentes para organismos multicelulares. A questão da adaptação. EMENTA: Criacionismo e Evolucionismo: aspectos filosóficos e principais hipóteses.
