O The Oporto Show decorre de 14 a 17 de Junho na Alfândega do Porto, e promete novamente
nesta 4ª edição, agitar o panorama do Design em Portugal. As últimas novidades do design de
mobiliário de interiores estão prontas para subir ao palco em cenários criativos.
Um dos projectos mais esperados deste evento, será a apresentação de um barco - casa
instalado sobre o Rio Douro, concebido pela marca Modular System.
Outra das novidades será o “POINT OF VIEW”, exposição organizada pela DESIGN FACTORY, da
RAR Imobiliária, onde se pretende analisar os novos valores da sociedade e de que forma estes
se espelham no design actual. Um espaço que propõe aos seus visitantes uma reflexão sobre o
panorama do design no contexto socioeconómico, político e cultural dos dias de hoje.
Um ciclo de palestras irá também juntar alguns dos designers mais conceituados do mundo,
como Alberto Lievore ou os Cul de Sac, que serão convidados a debater temas cruciais do
sector do Design.
Um grupo de workshops denominado ‘Mindshake’ dará oportunidade ao exercício do
pensamento criativo e o Design Thinking. O programa pretende através da exercitação da
mente desenvolver competências pessoais, profissionais e empreendedoras dos participantes.
A exposição ‘ POPS’ Projectos Originais Portugueses – iniciativa da Loja de Serralves vai
também apresentar no The Oporto Show uma selecção de projectos de 35 designers nacionais
nas áreas de Joalharia de Autor, Acessórios Pessoais, Mobiliário e Objectos de Decoração,
referentes às últimas quatro edições.

Oporto Show 2012 - Design and Creativity are the watchwords

The Oporto Show will take place between the 14th and the 17th of June at Alfândega do Porto,
and it promises again in this 4th edition, to shake the landscape of Design in Portugal. The
latest trends of design and interior furniture are ready to take the stage in creative scenery.
One of the most anticipated projects of this event will be the presentation of a boat - house
installed on the Douro River, designed by Modular System.
Another novelty is the "POINT OF VIEW", an exhibition organized by DESIGN FACTORY, of RAR
Imobiliária, which aims to analyze the new values of society and how these reflect the current
design. A space that offers to the visitors a reflection on the landscape design in the socioeconomic, political and cultural of nowadays.
Some of the world's most renowned designers, such as Alberto Lievore or Cul de Sac, will come
together in a series of lectures, where they have been asked to discuss crucial issues about
Design.
A group of workshops called 'Mindshake' will provide the opportunity to creative exercise and
design Thinking. The program aims, that through the exercise of the mind, to develop personal
and professionals skills of all its participants.
The exhibition 'POPS' Projectos Originais Portugueses - an initiative of the Serralves Store will
also present at the Oporto Show a selection of 35 projects of national designers in the areas of
Author Jewellery, Personal Accessories, Furniture and Decor objects, referring to the last four
editions.
