World Cup Football Fever!
T
he most exciting football competition on the international
calendar is back this summer and
Vale do Lobo is ready to catch 2014
FIFA World Cup football fever over
the coming months!
We may be oceans apart from Brazil
but that doesn’t mean that you can’t
enjoy all of the atmosphere, excitement and emotions of the World
Cup 2014 directly from the comfort
of Vale do Lobo!
Games will be shown live in Spikes
at the Parque do Golfe, or in Breeze, Monty’s and the Beach Bar in the
Praça, so there are plenty of choices
of venue for all the family to be able
to watch some of the greatest footballers in the world represent their
countries with pride and great skill.
All the action of the 2014 FIFA World
Cup will be kicking off on 12th June
with the final scheduled for 13th
July. However, with 32 teams bat-
tling it out to take home the title
and the all-important trophy, some
amazing stadiums on show and no
doubt some surprises in store it will
be worth catching as many games
as you can.
It doesn’t matter which team you
are cheering for this summer, nor
whether you will be rooting for Ronaldo, Rooney or any of the other
superstars who will be taking to the
pitch, everyone is welcome to enjoy
some World Cup football fever right

isit the Vale do Lobo Art Gallery to view an inspiring new
collection of art from the acclaimed Iberian abstract artist Gonzalez Bravo.
A series of dramatic paintings by
González Bravo have been brought
to the gallery as a result of a partnership between the São Mamede
Gallery and Vale do Lobo and offer
a chance for art lovers to view some
prime examples of abstract art by
this bold artist who epitomises the
Informalist art movement.
The exhibition will run until 2nd
July at the Vale do Lobo Art Gallery
which is open from Monday to Friday from 10:00h until 19:00h with

he importance of the natural environment in Vale do
lobo has been a priority within
the resort from the outset, with
continuous investment in innovation, infrastructure and services
remaining essential in preserving

do Lobo golf courses the resort is

recently acquired new equipment
from the renowned Ransomes
Jacobsen brand, to allow the latest technology to be used to create
harmony between the courses and

This year in Vale do Lobo new

to cut the greens and maintain
the courses. These new machines
combine maximum efficiency
with minimal noise pollution to

Summer Jazz Concert in Vale do Lobo
on Saturday, 21st
June.
The performance
is the second in a
series of seasonal
concerts being staged in Vale do Lobo
throughout 2014
and the musicians
have put together a
programme of music to lift the spirits
and welcome in the summer with
catchy Bossa nova, Samba and Salsa rhythms synonymous with the
summer months.
The Summer Jazz Concert will be
taking place on Saturday, 21st June
at 20:30h, in the Vale do Lobo Auditorium with tickets priced from
€18,00 per person.

apresentará um animado repertório
de Latin Jazz que inclui Bossa, Samba,

celebram as quatro estações do ano

New Teeth In One Day
by Dr.ª Dina Martins, from the Vale do Lobo Dental Clinic
N
ew technology and advancement in implants now mean
that what would have been unthinkable only 10 years ago is now
possible in only a single day! Now
patients who have little time to
spare are able to have total dental
rehabilitation in just a single day.
Firstly an initial assessment needs
to be made, including an x-ray, and
then plans can be made for painless
treatment including 4-6 implants
and new teeth on one day only.
This ground breaking “All on 4”
procedure was pioneered in Eu-
rope and is approved by the American Dental Federation and the EC
and not only are success rates higher, but costs are lower.
The treatment is suitable for gaps
caused by extracted teeth, lost
teeth through gum disease or even
for teeth with large cavities. Even
patients who have little available
bone can be safely treated.
Steps to new teeth in one day:
1. Evaluation at the clinic to assess
suitability for the procedure
2.Moulds created and new teeth
chosen for implants
3.Surgical procedure is performed
with each jaw taking only 1.30
hours
4.
Approximately 6 hours later
temporary teeth implants are fixed
5.Patients are provided with all
care instructions and can leave
with their new smile!

na área dos implantes permite-nos hoje fazer algo impensável há dez
anos atrás: ter dentes novos e bonitos
num só dia! Para pacientes que não
têm tempo para ir ao consultório ou
para quem nos visita durante as férias,
é agora possível realizar a reabilitação
de toda a boca num só dia.
Primeiro, será necessário fazer uma
consulta de avaliação e uma radiografia panorâmica, e se necessário um
TAC aos maxilares. Por fim, é planeada
a intervenção e colocação entre 4 a 6
implantes e no mesmo dia, sem qualquer tipo de situação dolorosa.
Esta solução, conhecida como “All on
4” ou “Same Day Teeth” é um procedimento pioneiro na Europa, aprovado
pela Federação Dentária Americana e
Comunidade Europeia, com taxas de
sucesso superior às abordagens tradicionais, em menor tempo e custo.
O tratamento é uma opção para reabilitação de dentes que já foram ex-
traídos ou existentes que estão perdidos, devido a problemas gengivais ou
grandes cáries e mesmo em pacientes
com pouco osso.
Etapas deste protocolo:
1. Consulta de avaliação clínica com
plano de tratamento e orçamento.
2.Moldes e registo de mordida para
os implantes, em escolha conjunta do
médico e paciente.
3.Procedimento cirúrgico, colocação
dos implantes e impressões, com a duração aproximada de 1:30h por maxilar.
4.Aproximadamente 6 horas depois
serão colocados os dentes provisórios
fixos aos respectivos implantes.
5. O paciente será instruído de todos
os cuidados a ter para preservar o seu
novo sorriso!
