Members recently enjoyed a
summer evening of pre-anniversary celebration during a summer
cocktail party at Parque do Golfe.
The event, an eagerly anticipated
tradition at the resort, gives the
community a chance to mingle in a
stylish setting, with entertainment
and a few good surprises. This
year all focus was on the already
mounting suspense surrounding
the forthcoming 50th anniversary
celebrations, with everyone getting into the spirit of the occasion
and making a toast to the special
date ahead. And so it was; an elegant setting, beautifully decorated, with DJ music and happy
guests. An evening etched fondly
in the memory of all those whom
attended, and certainly setting the
scene for the 50th anniversary celebrations in planning. All will be
revealed soon, and for now; a toast
to another wonderful summer
here in the resort!

POA AGM AND INTERNATIONAL EVENING
T
he Property Owners Association will hold its Annual
General Meeting on 11th October
at 14:00h in the Vale do Lobo Auditorium and full details of the
agenda will be sent to members.
The AGM is the perfect opportunity to catch up on all that’s happening at the resort and air your views
and suggestions. It normally commands a large turnout and is also a
brilliant introduction for new residents to resort life.
By popular demand, the International Evening is set to return
again, following on from the AGM
at Spikes restaurant. Diners will
enjoy a variety of international
dishes prepared especially for the
occasion. Live entertainment and
dancing will follow.

GOLF ON-THE-GO – TOURNAMENTS AND EVENTS
T
here has been a hive of activity
at the Vale do Lobo Golf Club
recently with the golfing season
clearly now in full swing, starting
with the Ronald MacDonald Charity event on 17th and 18th September,
then the Callaway Golf Tournament on 20th and 21st, the fabulous
Club Championship tournament
also on 20th September, and followed up with the prestigious
Captains’ Day and Dinner on 22nd,
and of course the spooky antics
on the greens during the Halloween Competition on 27st October.
Plenty to look forward to for golfers, and due to the social nature of
these tournaments, there is plenty
for their families to enjoy, too.
The Vale do Lobo Golf Club has
stepped up its daily activities schedule and this year is fuller and more
competitive than ever, with something for everyone to participate
in, and while visitors to the resort’s
courses can enjoy a round of leisurely golf, they may join in the ongoing
competitions. Golfing partners can
be arranged via the Club’s Reception.
