Miguel Santos Rondon [email protected] Introduction Miguel Rondon (born in 1970, currently living in Lisbon) studied Sculpture and Visual Arts in Ar.Co (Center for Art and Visual Communication); Sculpture and Video Course at NSCAD (Nova Scotia School of Art and Design, Halifax, Canada); Urban Design at CPD (Portuguese Center of Design). Exposing since 1994. Invited to the E.D.P New Artists Award of 2004, at CCB (Belém Cultural Center); Casa (installation, 2003), Biennale of ExperimentaDesign, in partnership with Delfim Sardo; Unestidade em tudo (installation, 2000), for the finalists exhibition of Ar.Co at the National Ropery Fabric (Lisbon); Jangada de Medusa (performance, 1999) at the Park of the Future (Amsterdam). With the support of the Caloust Gulbenkian Foundation, develops the projects O Execuivel and Miragem (plastic arts, 2003) and Uma Dimensão (painting, 2007). Miguel Rondon is represented on the EDP Foundation collection, since 2008. Usually paints in the Botanical Garden of the University of Lisbon.
