América do Norte África Setentrional CONTRA CONTRA Norte PREÇO Europa Ásia China CONTRA Índia PREÇO CONTRAOriente Médio CONTRA Testemunhos África do Sul: Although I myself have no problem with GM crops, there are many countries that do not allow any GM crops to be planted or grains to be sold. It them becomes a problem that market access from Brazil to these countries could be an issue due to the fact that the importing countries would require NON-GMO certificates and tests for every lot exported. – Sr. Brian Lever, Advance Seeds Egito: Any agricultural imports to Egypt must have a certificate from the country of origin that the product is NOT genetically modified and the rule will also apply to Egyptian exports, MENA the official news agency said Wednesday. Agriculture Minister Amin Abaza was quoted as saying that ”it was necessary that all crops imported from abroad and exported from Egypt be accompanied by a certificate from the country of origin stating they are free of genetically modified materials.” – Sr. Mufaddal Saifuddin, Wahba for Food Industries Testemunhos Índia: OGM pulses import is banned in India. The government is working on allowing some GMO crop like vegetables, however there has been strong objections by non-government agencies. – Sr. Ashwin Shah, Shah Nanji Nagsi Exports China: There is no interest in GMO dry beans, for example, soybenans, China only buys GMO for feed, for human consumption is only NON GMO soybeans. Also, in China it is only produced NON GMO. – Srta. Emily Zhang, Qingdao Mingzhi Intl Trade Testemunhos Europa: CRISPR in Europe it is a very hot topic, specially in Germany/France. If the pulses become to known as possibly GMO, it surely will have a strong effect on our marketing ability. Most of canners and packers have a GMO Free label on their pulses tins, not something they want to give up easily. There are big issues on GMO looming between Brazil and Europe, there seems a new variety GMO Soya which will be used actively in the next 2 years it has not been approved by the EU, nor has Brazil advised the new GMO strain to Brussels for approval. So on feed Argentina is already a banned country and Brazil may surely be next, leaving the feed industry in a big deficit of protein. So you may understand why production levels of peas are jumping with a million ton plus in the EU this season. – Sr. Cor Hage, AGT Foods Europe Testemunhos Canada: Claimed to say that they are not working on PULSES at breeding level, on neither GMO or CRISPR. – Sr. Edgard Eid, AGT Clic EUA: I do not foresee the U.S. industry planting or consuming GMO dry beans in the near future. The primary reason is that the food processing sector has expressed an unwillingness to accept any GMO dry beans. Many European companies have indicated they would stop importing U.S. dry beans entirely if the industry produced GMO dry beans. - Sr. Randy Duckworth, US Dry Bean Council Testemunhos Turquia: GMO is a big issue in Turkey and our nightmare. Turkey is very strict in GMO even more strict than Europe. We can’t import any GMO contaminated product. The tolerance is ZERO. So we are suffering a lot for our imports as if they find any GMO in Rice, Lentils, Beans, etc. They reject the goods and we have to ship back to origin. Even we can’t sell it to a 3rd Country. – Sr. Sait Dervisoglu – Agroder Peru: I realize the agricultural world will go more and more into GMO, or, better said into higher and higher productivity. On the other hand, I myself, and my family, only consume nongmo, organic food. So, as a humble consumer, I would not buy gmo beans or pulses. – Sr. Franliz Medina, New Coast Trading Conclusão Independente do melhoramento, tecnologia, sanidade vegetal, segurança alimentar,…: Não há interesse do mercado em absorver Legumes Secos OGM, ao menos por enquanto. Principal ponto contra: Possível banimento fitossanitário do Brasil. Muito Obrigado! BRASIL: Av.
