Please mark these dates on your calendars as it is
imperative that your child attends these preparation
classes in order to receive the sacrament. If your
child still does not have their 1st Communion
workbook, they are available at the Parish Office.
Marriage Preparation Course – Friday, April 15th
at 7pm & Saturday, April 16th 9am – 6pm in the
Parish Centre. Registration –before Feb 1/16$125.00 per couple-After Feb. 2/16- Cost is $175.00
per couple. Registration Deadline: March 25, 2016

Refugee Update:
We would like to thank all of you who have so
generously donated and prayed for our Refugee Appeal.
We have raised approximately $15,000 to date.
We are currently working with the Diocesan Refugee
Ministry waiting to be matched with a family of 4 – 5
people. Please continue to pray for all refugees and for
our efforts.

WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY:
Christ the King University Parish will be hosting a
Service of Prayer to celebrate and pray for full, visible
communion amongst the Christian Churches. We will
gather on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 7 pm in The
Chapel at Windermere on the Mount (Mount St. Joseph).
Songs from the ecumenical community of Taize (France)
will provide the foundation for the evening. All are
encouraged to attend. Bishop Fabbro, CSB will offer
words of welcome.
The Mighty Saints and Youth Band are
desperately looking for a DRUMMER. If you
know of an older youth or adult who may be
interested and able to help us out please contact

1.
Christmas Celebrations
Now that the Christmas Season
is over, I would like to thank all who
contributed in any way to these
celebrations - those involved with the
decorating and the liturgical
celebrations.

2015 Contributions
I have finished signing all the
income tax receipts and they should
soon be in the mail to all who
contributed this past year. I have to
apologize for the quality of the
printing on them - we have dealt with
the supplier of our photocopier and
anticipate that the quality of the
printing will be better next year.

Financial Report
I will be presenting a finance
report to the parish as soon as possible
- we have to wait for some numbers
from the Diocese. I am hoping to have
this done prior to Lent which begins
on Ash Wednesday - February 10th.
Last Year’s Palms
Beginning next week, you are
encouraged to bring the palms you
received last year back to the church.
On Shrove Tuesday I will once again
visit both of our schools to burn these
palms.

Prayers
Please keep in your prayers all
those who have had a loved one die
over the past month. Also, if you have
not yet taken a look at it, please note
the “In Memory” board in the
Narthex.

Holidays
I will be leaving on holidays
next Sunday (January 24th) for 10
days. I will once again be visiting my
sister in the Canary Islands. If you
have a family member in need of the
Sacrament of the Sick, please call
early this week so that I can get
around to anointing them. (It might be
more difficult to contact a priest in my
absence).

1. Celebrações de Natal
Agora que a época do Natal já
terminou, gostaria de agradecer a
todos que contribuíram de alguma
forma para estas celebrações - aqueles
envolvidos com a decoração e as
celebrações litúrgicas.
2. 2015 Contribuições
Eu terminei de por a minha
assinatura em todos os recibos de
imposto e eles devem em breve estar
no correio para todos que
contribuíram no ano passado. Eu
tenho que pedir desculpas para a
qualidade da impressão sobre eles temos lidado com o fornecedor do
nosso fotocopiadora e antecipamos
que a qualidade da impressão será
melhor no próximo ano.
3. Relatório Financeiro
Vou apresentar um relatório de
finanças para a paróquia mais
rapidamente possível - temos de
esperar por alguns números da
Diocese. Estou esperando a ter isto
feito antes da Quaresma, que começa
na Quarta feira de cinzas - 10 de
Fevereiro.
4. Palmas do ano passado
A partir da próxima semana,
são incentivados a trazer as palmas
que receberem no ano passado de
volta para a igreja. Na Terça-feira
gorda vou mais uma vez visitar as
nossas escolas para queimar essas
palmas.
5. Orações
Por favor, mantenha em suas
orações todos aqueles que tiveram um
ente querido morreu durante este mês
passado. Por favor, dar uma olhada na
placa "In Memory" que esta no tapa
vente.
6. Férias
Eu vou estar saindo de férias
no próximo Domingo (24 de Janeiro)
por 10 dias. Eu vou novamente
visitar minha irmã, nas Ilhas Canárias.
Se você tem um membro da família
em necessidade do Sacramento dos
Enfermos, por favor ligue no início
desta semana para que eu possa dar a
unção a eles. (Pode ser mais difícil
entrar em contato com um padre na
minha ausência).
