LÍGIA SOARES
Portuguese choreographer and dramaturge working in the field of performing arts. Since 2001 she created more
than 20 pieces a solo or in collaboration. Her work has been developed and presented both nationally and
internationally. She took part in several programs of contemporary dance and artistic residencies in
Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Tanzfabrik-Berlin, Danceweb, PRACTICE (UferStudios), Fabrik Potsdam, PointÉphémère, Centre National de la Danse, Guimarães 2012, among others. She is co-director of Máquina
Agradável (Lisbon) since 2001 and co-mentor of the programme Demimonde since 2011. Her last piece,
Romance, was edited by Douda Correria.

RITA VILHENA
Dancer, choreographer and teacher/researcher in dance based in Rotterdam (The Netherlands).
She teaches developing an awareness of the body with emphasis on improvisation as performance. She is
artistic director of Baila Louca in Rotterdam. She has worked with Meg Stuart, Jeremy Wade, Julyen Hamilton,
Ugo Dehaes, Mohamed Shafik, Keren Levi, among others. In 2012, she received the 1st prize in the Solo Dance
Competition in Gdansk in Poland.
She is currently produced by Productiehuis Rotterdam, making a new creation for 5 performers, Emergency Plan
(2015, Theater Shouwburg, Impuls Tanz Vienna). She choreographed as well MSDOS/Prometheus geketend,
together with URLAND collective - Rotterdamse Production (2014), Set New Beginnings with Meg Stuart and
Vânia Rovisco, We are not from the Outer space (2011), the solo Onomatopoeia and the duet Intimate Boredom
(2010). She teaches workshops at ARTEZ (Academy of Dance Arnhem), Dansatateliers, and in international
festivals.

RUI LIMA
Was born in Porto, in 1981. Rui studied Image and Communication at Soares dos Reis Secondary School. In
2001, he was admitted to Escola Superior de Música e das Artes do Espectáculo, where he studied Light Design
and Sound. Along with Sérgio Martins, Rui is a member of MimiCalkix project. At the same time, and also in a
partnership with Sérgio Martins, he regularly composes the soundtracks to several dance and theatre
performances, working with directors such as João Garcia Miguel, Jorge Andrade, Ana Luena, Joana Providência,
Cristina Carvalhal, Inês Vicente, Júnior Sampaio, Raquel Freire, Victor Hugo Pontes, among others.

SÉRGIO MARTINS
Was born in Porto, in 1982. Sérgio studied Image and Communication at Soares dos Reis Secondary School. He
holds a classical guitar course from the Music Conservatory (8 years, concluded in 2003). In 2006, he was
admitted to Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas, where he studied Electronic Music and Musical Production.
Along with Rui Lima, Sérgio is a member of mimicalkix project. At the same time, and also in a partnership with
Rui Lima, he regularly composes the soundtracks to several dance and theatre performances, working with
directors such João Garcia Miguel, Fernando Moreira, Joana Providência, Inês Vicente, Júnior Sampaio, Raquel
Freire, Victor Hugo Pontes, Jorge Andrade, Cristina Carvalhal, Ana Luena, among others.
