Open up the great old tome and thumb through the pages of life. Browse through old wisdom, cheerful child illustrations, amazing nature or act photographs. Make a journey back to old times and let yourself seduce with
ironical stories, great lyrics and overwhelming incidents from long time ago. Abandon yourself to old artists,
read poems by well-known philosophers and adjourn different worlds full of fantasy.
But don‘t forget about: The beer or wine in front of you. The regional tyrolean delicacies and other traditional
dishes. The heavenly sweet desserts and typical Schnaps. Because there is one thing that does not happen
between the rows or pages of a book, but here and now:

THE STORY OF THE BLACK CAT
In the secret cave and wine cellar of the Auracher Löchl there was once living a POOR innkeeper,
who asked the devil for help, „Lucifer, I‘ll give you my soul, if you help me to have the best wine
in my barells!” The devil agreed and soon the barrels were filled. On the biggest one he sat a
black cat and said: „This cat will always bring luck!“ And after a short time you only heard: „Get
me the wine from the barrel, where the black cat is sitting on!“ The innkeeper got rich. As the end
of his life came nearer, he startet to get afraid and sent for a priest whom he told everything. The
priest took some holy water, went into the cellar, besprinkled the black cat and yelled out: „You
will not be a symbol of hell and bring misfortune!“ He heard a devilish whining and a sulfuric stink
appeared. This way, the cat became a symbol of piece, marking the best wine in the cellar and
banishing all demons from it, which the still offended devil tries to send there.
Written and inherited by the recent POOR innkeeper.
The Legend lives on - the Löchl! Since 600 years!
