Ensembles:
UMS 'n JIP: Javier Hagen (voice), Ulrike Nayer-Spohn (recorder, electronics)
MCME: Ivan Bushuev (flute), Oleg Tantsov (clarinet), Mikhail Dubov (piano), Dmitri German
(violin), Ilya Rubinshtein (cello)
About the project
“Integrations” is an artistic research project by UMS 'n JIP in collaboration with internationally established partner groups and composers who have been associated with the duo for
several years and work closely with them. 'Integrations' provides an opportunity to present,
integrate and deploy the results of many years’ musical practice and research in a new
and larger instrumental, esthetic and cultural connection. The work that results from
the involvement of the various ensembles lead not only to a large number of performances,
as a result they offer material for discussion and reflection throughout the network over
several years for all involved.
Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble (MCME)
was founded in 1990 by Yuri Kasparov, under the patronage of the famous Russian composer Edison Denisov. The ensemble focuses on promoting 20th and 21st century music. It is
Russia’s foremost contemporary chamber ensemble and consists of some of the best Russian musicians specializing in modern music.

THEATER
17 February “Bianco su Bianco” at the IX Winter International Festival of Arts
Sochi, Winter Theater, at 19h (Teatralnaya, 2)
“Bianco su Bianco” is theatrical clown show written and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca
with Helena Bittencourt and Goos Meeuwsen, it will be performed at the IX Winter International Festival of Arts under direction of Yuri Bashmet (Winter Theater, 19:00)
Daniele Finzi Pasca, a renowned Swiss director, choreographer and circus artist, author of
the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, will present his new theatrical work
Bianco su Bianco.
Bianco su Bianco is one of the latest projects of Finzi Pasca, which he first presented in Switzerland by the end of 2014. The story of the actor and the stage driver played by two clowns
within the pseudocircus space is on the balance between the theater of the "emotions" and
the theater of the "absurd", making the audience feel sweet nostalgia for the lost children's
sides of their souls. According to the author, "despite the simplicity and bareness of the theatrical means, we have created the space of a surrealist Universe, a self-reflecting form of
theatre, where actors use the proscenium to engage in a dialogue with the audience, where
illusion and tricks are always disclosed at the end, where clowns do not play fools, but rather
represent frailness of heroes who have lost in their lives."
