MARIANA VASSILEVA
BULGÁRIA (1964)
Mariana Vassileva nasceu em 1964
na Bulgária e actualmente vive em
Berlim. Estudou na Universität der
Künste em Berlim, Alemanha. O seu
trabalho é baseado no quotidiano e
nas questões contemporâneas de um mundo globalizado, como a mobilidade e
vida urbana e a relação entre individual e colectivo. A artista utiliza o humor
para expor a realidade do quotidiano, como nas exposições "Traffic
police"(2008) and "Never carry two watermelons under one arm"(2011).
Mariana Vassileva teve exposições individuais e colectivas por todo o
mundo, em galerias, fundações e museus como: Cine y Casi Cine, Museo
Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, Spain; The Canvas is the Screen,
