e tanto sole già durante i mesi primaverili.
In estate Terento è sempre ventilata e, a
1210 m d’altitudine la temperatura estiva
è molto gradevole. L’autunno è dorato, le
foglie si colorano e si possono compiere
meravigliose escursioni con temperature
molto miti. Durante l’inverno arriva la neve,
le piste da fondo, le piste da slittino e
l’impianto di risalita offrono grande divertimento.
Terenten hat nicht nur viel Sonne zu bieten, auch kulturell ist einiges los. Hier, wo
der Bauernfleiß die Landschaft pflegt, hält
man gern fest am Althergebrachten, an
Bräuchen und Traditionen. Prozessionen,
Platzkonzerte, Feuerwehr- und Musikfeste,
Kirchtag und Almabtrieb … alles Gelegenheiten teilzuhaben am lebendigen
Brauchtum.

Terento is located along the sunny road
of the Puster Valley and enjoys warm days
already in spring. In summer you enjoy a
light breeze, and the altitude of 1,210 m
allows for cosy freshness. In autumn the
leaves change their colour and the temperatures are ideal for enjoying wonderful
hikes. In winter you can enjoy the snowedin landscape … cross-country track, toboggan run and ski lift offer pure winter
pleasures.
In addition to plenty of sun, Terento has
also lots to offer from a cultural point of
view. Farmers’ busy hands keep our landscape tidy and make sure old traditions,
customs and uses are kept alive. Parades,
concerts, events organised by the local fire
brigade and music festivals, village church
day (Kirchtag) and driving the cattle back
from the pastures … all great opportunities
to participate in old traditions.

SONNENDORF TERENTEN
Terento, paese del sole | Sunny Village Terento
D Terenten liegt auf einem Hochplateau
oberhalb vom Pustertal auf 1210 m Höhe
direkt an der Pustertaler Sonnenstraße.
Die Ortschaft wird aufgrund der sehr sonnigen Lage als das Sonnendorf des
Pustertals bezeichnet.
Und dies nicht zu Unrecht: Die Sonne
scheint im Winter von 8.00 bis 16.00 Uhr
und im Sommer sogar bis 20.00 Uhr und
macht Terenten damit zum Dorf mit der
längsten Sonneneinstrahlung Südtirols.
Im Volksmund sagt man, in Terenten
gehe die Sonne nie unter.
Unser neues Sonnendorf-Siegel bestätigt die vielen Sonnenstunden. Die Zahl
2285 ergibt sich aus dem Durchschnitt
der jährlichen Sonnenstunden der letzten
5 Jahre in Terenten!
Der idyllische Urlaubsort ist bei Gästen
sehr beliebt und zieht viele in seinen Bann.
Die Helligkeit wirkt sich positiv auf das
Gemüt aus. Um den Status der Sonne
nochmals zu untermauern, wurden in Terenten sogenannte „Natursolarien“ errichtet,
die ersten ihrer Art in Südtirol. Sie befinden
sich an zwei unterschiedlichen Standorten
in Terenten und bieten neben der Möglichkeit einer gesunden Vitamin D-Therapie
und gleichzeitigen Entschleunigung des
Alltags, einen herrlichen Panoramablick
auf die Dolomiten.

Il paese di Terento si trova sull’altopiano
che sovrasta la Val Pusteria a 1210 metri
di altitudine, proprio sulla Strada del Sole
della Val Pusteria.
La località, per via della sua posizione soleggiata, viene definita il paese del sole
della Val Pusteria.
E questo a buona ragione: il sole in inverno splende dalle ore 8.00 alle ore 16.00
e in estate addirittura fino alle ore 20.00,
rendendo così Terento il paese con più
ore di sole di tutto l’Alto Adige.
La gente del posto dice scherzando che
a Terento il sole non tramonta mai.
Il nostro nuovo Sigillo “Paese del Sole”
nasce per contrassegnare le molte ore di
sole a Terento. Il numero 2285 è determinato dalle ore medie annue di sole degli
ultimi 5 anni!
L’idilliaca località di villeggiatura è molto
amata dagli ospiti e conquista il cuore di
molti di loro.
La luminosità ha infatti effetti benefici
sull’umore. Per rendere ancora più chiara
la supremazia del sole a Terento sono stati
eretti i così detti “solarium naturali”, i primi
nel loro genere in Alto Adige. Si trovano in
due diverse parti di Terento e offrono, oltre
alla possibilità di fare una sana terapia
di vitamina D e rallentare il ritmo della
quotidianità, anche una meravigliosa vista panoramica sulle Dolomiti.

is known as the sunny village of the Puster
Valley.
Not without reason: In winter, the sun in
Terento shines from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and
in summer to 8 p.m. This makes Terento
the village with the most hours of sunshine in South Tyrol.
According to a popular saying, the sun
never sets in Terento.
The new Sunny Village Seal confirms
the many hours of sun. The number 2285
represents the average number of sunshine
hours per annum in Terento measured over
the past five years!
The idyllic village is a popular holiday
destination that attracts many guests.
The brightness has a positive effect on
the mood. To underline the status of the
sun, so-called “nature solariums” were
realised, the first of this type in South Tyrol.
The solariums are situated at two different
locations in Terento. In addition to enjoying some healthy vitamin D therapy and
deceleration, they also offer a splendid
view of the Dolomites.

D Terenten ist einmalig: Die altbäuerliche
Kultur ist noch lebendig, einige Bauern
hegen noch ihren Kornacker und mahlen
das Korn in den bis zu 500 Jahre alten
wassergetriebenen Kornmühlen zu Mehl.
Auch das Wissen um alte Rezepte ist noch
vorhanden. Schließlich hat das Korn im
bäuerlichen Dorf auf der Sonnenterasse
eine lange Tradition, galt doch Terenten
einst als Kornkammer des Pustertales.
Genau hier knüpft das ’s Terner Schmelzpfandl an: Geschichte und Tradition
rund um Korn, Kost und Kultur in Terenten
werden in einer Reihe von Veranstaltungen
aufgegriffen und neu belebt. Dabei folgt
man dem natürlichen Rhythmus: Aussaat,
Ackerpflege, Ernte, Mahlen und Kochen
wie zu Großelterns Zeiten. Als (Neben)Effekt erleben Gäste und Ortsansässige ein
lebendiges Dorf mit zahlreichen authentischen Sinn-Veranstaltungen.

Terento é un posto straordinario, dove è
rimasta viva l’antica cultura contadina.
Diversi agricoltori tuttora coltivano il loro
campo di grano e macinano il grano
nei mulini ad acqua, la cui costruzione in
parte risale a 500 anni fa. E si ricordano
ancor le vecchie ricette. Il grano costituisce
un elemento fondamentale nel villaggio
rurale situato sul terrazzo soleggiato. Infatti, Terento in passato era considerato il
granaio della Val Pusteria.
Il progetto ’s Terner Schmelzpfandl s’inserisce proprio in questo contesto: rivitalizzando e avvicinando al pubblico tramite
una serie di manifestazioni storia e tradizione contadina intorno al grano, al
cibo e alla tradizione. I manifestazioni
ripercorrono il ciclo naturale dalla semina
alla coltivazione, al raccolto, alla macina
e alla cucina, come ai tempi dei nonni.

Terento is unique: old rural culture has
been preserved; some farmers still cultivate their corn fields and grind the corn
to flour in the up to 500 years old,
water-driven corn mills. Ancient recipes
continue to live on. Corn has a long
tradition in this rural village on the sunny
plateau. After all, Terento once was the
granary of the Puster Valley.
’s Terner Schmelzpfandl is based on this
past: history and traditions based on
specialties, corn and culture in Terento
are celebrated and revived with several
events. The event series follows the
rhythm of nature: sowing, field cultivation,
harvesting, grinding and cooking just as in
Grandma’s times. A nice (side)effect for
guests and locals is the lively village with
numerous authentic events.
