Life through a lens: Dylan’s photos
Du liest einen Text über Dylan, einen jungen Fotografen.
1 Lies den ersten Teil des Textes und beantworte die
Fragen a und b.
Dylan, 16, lives in Dartford, just outside London.
He’s taken about 15,000 photos since he became interested in photography when he was 10. He’s taken
a lot of colour photographs with a digital camera. But
he prefers taking and developing his own black-andwhite photos because they show more contrast. Some of
his favourites are of friends, family and neighbours.
developing = entwickeln
a How long has Dylan been a fan of photography? For years.
b Dylan also uses a manual camera, not only a digital camera. Why?
Because he is 16 years old.
Because he has taken a lot of photos with his digital camera.
Because he likes developing his own photos.
Because he likes taking pictures of his friends.
2 Verbinde die Satzanfänge c–e mit den richtigen Satzenden 1–3 und f–h mit den richtigen
Satzenden 4 – 6.
c My dad is interested in photography,
1 but sometimes I take hundreds!
d I also read a book about manual photography
2 so I’ve learnt a lot from him.
e I usually take two or three photos a day,
3 to learn how to change camera settings.
f I like to photograph things
4 I photograph the sky becoming dark.
g Instead of taking photos of a dog,
5 between big and small, or dark and light.

3 Lies nun den zweiten Teil des Textes und kreuze für die Aussagen i–o an, ob sie richtig
(T = true) oder falsch (F = false) sind oder ob nichts dazu gesagt wird (N = not stated).
I started developing photos in my school’s darkroom last year. First, I wash and cut the
negatives. Then I decide how much contrast I want. It takes about two days to develop a
photo. I have to wait one night for the negative to dry and another for the photo to dry.
When I leave school, I want to study photography in London like my father. I’d like to
specialize in photographing people and have big exhibitions. I know that being a professional photographer is really hard, but I’d like to try.
