– The MetClub is an international organization for cultural, social and educational programs in Stuttgart. –
Our modest yearly membership fee entitles members to discounts for cultural/educational program entrance fees.
The Club’s lively and active members organize most of the interesting programs themselves.
Membership is not required to attend programs - so just join in, we’d like to meet you!

SELF-CATERED BARBECUE NEXT TO BÄRENSCHLÖSSLE
Let’s gather around the barbecue-fire at one of the BBQ-spots near Bärenschlössle. Everybody
will bring their own grill food and beverages. Additional food to share (potluck) is welcome but
not expected. Please let the organizer know in case you bring something extra.
Organizer provides charcoal and grill trays. Common cost will be shared.
The event takes place only in good weather. Meeting point: Bus stop & parking Metzgerhau.

OPEN-AIR-CINEMA: LIFE OF PI (Schiffbruch mit Tiger)
In the greater Stuttgart area you’ll find a couple of nice locations for a beautiful summer movie
night. The most famous and biggest one offers the city of Ludwigsburg. Why don't you come
along and join us? The film they’re showing is "Life of Pi", based on Yann Martel's novel, about a
16-year-old Indian boy, who is stranded in the Pacific Ocean on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger.
We meet at 20:00 h in front of the entrance. The movie (spoken language: German) starts at
21:30 h, before that we will enjoy live music, delicious food & drinks.
Don’t worry about getting back home; from Ludwigsburg main station you’ll be able to catch a
local train /S-Bahn to Stuttgart or elsewhere every 15 Minutes also late in the evening.

CULTURE & CYCLING: UTOPIA - 12TH TRIENNALE 2013 FELLBACH
Join the metclub for a fascinating tour: Utopia - The vision of better future has always captured
artist's interest around the globe. This year's Triennale features impressive modern art
masterpieces of 55 international artists on 2500sqm. More info: www.triennale.de
Admission fee: 5 EUR, members 3 EUR
If you are in need of a little exercise feel free to join a bit earlier for a relaxed cycling tour to the
exhibition. Cyclists meet 13:00 h at the Königstr.1 in front of the tourist office (Main Station).
Please make sure that your bike is in road safe condition, wear a helmet (recommended) and
note that participation is at your own risk.

The local Neckar region has a vine culture tradition which stems from the ancient Romans, and for
the past two decades, the Stuttgarter Weindorf has been the ideal place to meet and make friends
while sampling the local varieties of wines and delicious food in a very pleasant and typically
Swabian atmosphere.
