EKRA bietet für die verschiedensten Applikationen im Sieb- und Schablonendruck immer
die richtige Lösung, egal ob starre oder flexible
Materialien zu bedrucken sind.
EKRA always offers the right choice of support for
any kind of screen or stencil printing application,
regardless whether flexible or stiff substrates
have to be printed.
Unterstützungsblöcke: Standardmäßig sind alle
EKRA Drucker mit 5 eloxierten Aluminiumblöcken
mit Magnetfüßen ausgestattet. Diese ermöglichen die bestmögliche Unterstützung für die
1. Seite beim Bedrucken von Leiterplatten oder
anderen starren Materialien.
Support Bars: As a standard all EKRA printers
are equipped with 5 aluminium support bars with
magnetic bases. These bars ensure the best
possible support for the print of the 1st side of a
PCB or any other stiff material.
Magnet-Pins: Wenn bereits eine Seite mit Bauteilen bestückt ist, liefert EKRA für ein optimales
Unterstützen, dem Kunden standardmäßig 10
magnetische Unterstützungspins (Magnet-Pins).
Diese Art der Unterstützung ist ein optimaler
Kompromiss zwischen Flexibilität und sicherer
Unterstützung, berühren die Pins die Leiterplatte doch nur an freien Stellen die vom Bediener
ausgewählt wurden.
Vakuum-Pins: Optional bietet EKRA auch magnetische Vakuum-Pins an, welche sich besonders bei Anwendungen mit leicht verwölbten
Leiterplatten – speziell nach dem 1. Durchgang
durch den Reflow-Ofen – bewährt haben. Mit
Hilfe des an der Oberseite des Pins anstehenden
Vakuums kann die 2. Seite einer Leiterplatte noch
besser unterstützt werden, da das Vakuum zusätzlich eine Niederhaltekraft erzeugt und einem
Aufwölben entgegenwirkt.
Automatic Pin Guidance System – APG:
Effektive, schnelle und zuverlässige Hilfe bei
der Programmierung und Positionierung der
Unterstützungsstifte für doppelseitig bestückte
Leiterplatten hat einen Namen: APG. Mit Hilfe
des Kamerasystems des Druckers kann der
Magnetic Pins: When a substrate is already
equipped with components on one side, EKRA
offers as a standard 10 magnetic pins for a perfect support of the 2nd side. This type of support
is a perfect compromise between flexibility and
safety, as the pins just touch the PCB on component-free positions selected by the operator.
Vacuum Pins: Optionally, EKRA also offers magnetic vacuum pins, which are especially suitable
for applications with slightly bended PCBs, e.g.
after the 1. reflow process. With the vacuum
applied on top of the pins, the 2nd side of a substrate can be even better supported and fixed, as
the vacuum generates an additional force which
counteracts possible bending.
Automatic Pin Guidance System – APG: Effective, fast and reliable assistance for programming
and positioning of supporting pins for doublesided PCBs has a name: APG. With the help of
the camera system of the printer, the operator
can fast and easily teach and program the target
positions of the pins on the PCB’s bottom side.
Once programmed the pin positions are saved
in the printing program and are available at any
time. While setting up the machine for the new
product, the printer itself exactly indicates all the

APG – Automatic Pin Guidance System
Bediener bequem und schnell die Sollpositionen
der Unterstützungsstifte auf der Leiterplattenunterseite einlernen und programmieren. Die einmal programmierten Unterstützungspositionen
werden mit dem Druckprogramm gespeichert
und stehen jederzeit zur Verfügung. Der Drucker
selber gibt dann beim Einrichten des Produktes
alle Pin-Positionen mittels eines in der Kamera
integrierten Laserpointers exakt vor. Nach dem
Setzen des letzten Pins prüft die Kamera dann
alle Pin-Positionen auf Ihre Genauigkeit. Pins die
die Lagetoleranz überschritten haben, werden
dem Bediener aufgezeigt und können korrigiert
werden. Fehlerfreies Unterstützen wird somit
gewährleistet.
Kundenspezifische Drucknester: Für alle Kunden die Sonderanwendungen haben, oder große
Losgrößen eines Produktes produzieren müssen,
bietet EKRA auch kundenspezifische Drucknester an. Egal ob Leiterplatte oder Keramik, und
unabhängig von Anzahl und Bauteilgröße der
vorhandenen Bestückung, die Drucknester werden speziell nach Kundenangaben gefertigt. Das
Substrat wird mittels Standardklemmung, oder
ergänzend mit Hilfe von Vakuum im Druckbereich
fixiert. Perfekte Substratfixierung und Unterstützung sind gewährleistet und tragen zu einem
optimalen Druckergebnis bei.
Universaldrucknest: Speziell für Kleinserien oder
die Prototypenfertigung beidseitig bestückter
Leiterplatten bietet EKRA ein flexibles Universaldrucknest an. Mit Hilfe eines nummerierten
Rastersystems kann der Bediener schnell und
reproduzierbar die Pins an den vorher definierten
Stellen platzieren. Ein schnelles und sicheres
Unterstützen der Substrate wird somit gewährleistet.

are exceeding the allowed tolerance will be
highlighted by the machine, allowing the operator
to correct them. Hence error-free supporting is
guaranteed.
Customer Specific Printing Nests: For all
customers running special applications, or have
to produce large volumes of a substrate, EKRA
is offering also customer specific printing nests.
Regardless of PCB or ceramic, and independent
on volume and size of the placed SMDs, the printing nest will be manufactured exactly according
to the customer requirements. The substrate will
be fixed in the printing area with the standard
clamping or additional vacuum. Perfect fixation
and support of the substrate is guaranteed, which
accounts for an optimal printing result.
Universal Printing Nest: Particularly for small
series production or prototyping of double-sided
PCBs, EKRA offers a flexible universal printing
nest. By help of a numbered grid system, the
operator can fast and reproducibly place the pins
on the defined positions. Hence, a fast and safe
support of the substrate is ensured.

Automatische Pin-Systeme: Ein Höchstmaß
an Flexibilität bei gleichzeitig sehr guter Unterstützung für alle Anwendungen mit bereits
bestückten Leiterplatten bieten automatische
Pin-Systeme. Durch Drücken einer bestückten
Leiterplatte in die ausgefahrenen Pins wird quasi
ein Hilfsdrucknest erzeugt, in welches die zu
bedruckenden Leiterplatten abgelegt werden.
Optional erhältlich sind auch Pin-Systeme mit
„Automatischen Mode“. Hierbei werden die Leiterplatten im Drucker zuerst in der Druckposition
geklemmt, dann wird die Unterstützung aktiviert
und die Pins fahren nach oben und unterstützen
die Leiterplatte entsprechend. Egal ob Quik-tool,
VarioGrid, GridLok, Red-E-Set oder andere am Markt
bekannte Systeme: Für alle Anwendungen und Größen kann EKRA die passende Lösung anbieten.
Flexible Drucknester: Für Sonderapplikationen
bietet EKRA auch flexible Drucknester an (z.B.
Gel-Flex, VacuNest u.a.), bei denen eine medienbefüllte Membrane (Luft oder Gel) als flexible
Unterstützung dient. Beim Rüsten eines neuen
Produktes wird die bestückte Oberflächenstruktur der Leiterplatte einmalig in das Drucknest
übertragen und durch ein Vakuum fixiert. Die
Geometrie der bestückten Leiterplattenunterseite
generiert somit ein Drucknest und ermöglicht
dadurch eine passgenaue Unterstützung für die
zu produzierenden Leiterplatten.

Automatic Pin Systems: A maximum of flexibility combined with very good support for all
applications with placed components on one side
are offered by automatic pin systems. An artificial
print nest is generated by pressing a finished
PCB into the pins while they are in their outer
position. Onto this artificial print nest the PCB
is placed on. Optionally such systems are also
available with an “automatic mode”. Here PCBs
will first of all normally be fixed in the printing
position and then the support is activated, which
lets the pins jump up and support the PCB
accordingly. Regardless of Quick-tool, VarioGrid,
GridLok, Red-E-Set or other systems known in
the market: For all applications and sizes EKRA
can offer the best suitable solution.
Flexible Printing Nests: For special applications
EKRA offers flexible printing nests (e.g. Gel-Flex,
VacuNest a.o.) where a filled membrane (air or
gel) is working as flexible support. When setting
up the machine for a new product, the surface
structure of an already assembled side of a
substrate will be transferred into the membrane
and fixated by help of a vacuum. As a result the
geometry of the assembled side of the PCB
generates a printing nest and hence enables
an accurately fitting support for the PCBs to be
produced.
