ACADEMY

21 TO 24 MaY
PROGRAMME
Dear EVA-participant,
welcome to EVA2010! I am glad for being able to welcoming you in the
Frauenkirche of Dresden.
By the reconstruction of this church we have overcome destruction and therefore
have given a sign of reconciliation. Enemies have become friends and have
achieved great things together. The spirit and the tradition of this special place
have led us to create EVA of this year as a Peace Academy. For that, we need You
and Your zest for action, Your thirst for knowledge and Your rich imagination!
Each one of us carries a great potential to transform reconciliation and peace into
reality. Let us realize the days of Whitsun in Dresden together and collect impulses
and possibilities to avoid injustice and hurt in this world. Let us bundle this knowledge and carry it out into the world.
Thank You very much for your commitment to EVA2010!

EVA IN CONCERT
This is a real Highlight of the Peace Academy! 20 years after the reunification of
Germany and 5 years after the completing to rebuild the Frauenkirche five bands and musicians meet at EVA for a special and symbolic act of reconciliation. The young and very talented Singer-Songwriters from England and Germany want to set an exceptional sign with their concert and would like to present a song especially created for and with participants of the Peace Academy.
Sarah Brendel, Dresden
Sarah Brendel was part of the project „Zeichen der Zeit“ (signs of the
time) with Xavier Naidoo. She is playing regularly in Slovenia, the
Czech Republic, Scandinavia and the U.S.A. Already her first Single
jumped into the Top 100 in Germany. Sarah Brendel moved 2009 to
Saxony and is, together with her husband, trying to institu
tionalize a project open for young people who are interested in music
in a castle close to Dresden.
Samuel Anthes, Emden
The songs of Samuel Anthes touch heart and soul because of their
intensive lyrics clear references to believing in God. Anthes won
diverse radio awards and works on his new CD at the moment.
4
The title sequence, London
The band from London has gained quite some reputation during the
last years within the independent music scene in England: Typical British Folk-Pop mixes with fantastic melodies and an unbelievable thickness of musical minimalistics. Their song “Dinosaurs” was developed
while travelling through China and therefore wishes for the freedom of
speech, opinion and liberty as a basis to society. The music magazine
Intro sees the band as a shooting star of Independent music.
Sofia Stark, Stuttgart
Together with her band „Debbie rockt“ 18 year old Sofia Stark was
able to celebrate quite some success. She won the prize of “Jugend
musiziert” (youth plays music) and was happy to gain Top 30 Chart
entries… but still the young musician experiences her own and personal
“reconstruction” as a singer while finishing High School. With 17 she
moved away from the strings of show business to create her OWN songs
and some serious music.
Lilly Among Thornes, Würzburg
Lilly Among Thornes is from Bavaria and only 18 years old but for some
critiques symbolizes the new Janis Joplin. She won the competition
“EIGENSINNiCH” of the evangelic youth and is a real insider tip.

Alles klar?!
Rufen Sie uns an!
