Das vorliegende Produkt ist nach den gesetzlichen Bestimmungen auf elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit
geprüft und für unbedenklich befunden worden. Im Rahmen des Prüfungsverfahrens wurde die Festplatte
Seagate 160GB ST9160823A/S verwendet. Es wird ausdrücklich darauf hingewiesen, dass die Einhaltung
der vorgeschriebenen Grenzwerte nur in Verwendung mit obiger Festplatte gewährleistet wird. Bei
Verwendung anderer Festplatten kann es zu elektromagnetischen Störungen außerhalb der bestehenden
Grenzwerte kommen.
The present product has been tested for electromagnetic compatibility in conformity with legal regulations
and has been found to be safe. The hard disk type Seagate 160GB ST9160823A/S was used during this
test procedure. We herewith expressly point out that a compliance with the prescribed limit values is only
guaranteed when the above-mentioned hard disk is used. Electromagnetic interference outside of the
existing limit values can occur, when other types of hard disks are used.

Handling Precautions
Revoltec products are precision instruments and must be handled with care during unpacking and
installation. Drives may be damaged by rough handling, shock, or vibration. Be aware of the
following precautions when unpacking your Revoltec external storage kit:

Do not unpack the product until you are ready to install it.
Do not drop or jolt the product.
Do not move the external storage when it is powered up.
2. Montage / Setting Up
Zur Montage benötigen Sie eine 2,5-Zoll-SATA-Festplatte. Befolgen Sie bitte sorgfältig die
Anweisungen um die Festplatte im externen Gehäuse zu installieren.
You will need a 2.5 inch SATA Hard Disk Drive. Carefully follow the procedure to install the Hard
Disk Drive into the enclosure.

1. Trennen Sie das USB Kabel.
Pull out USB Cable.
2. Entnehmen Sie die Abdeckung
Separate the bezel with disk mounting tray.
3. Setzen Sie die Festplatte in das Gehäuse ein.
Slide the 2.5” HDD into the SATA Connector on disk mounting tray.
4. Befestigen Sie die vier Schrauben der Abdeckung.
Tighten up four screws on front and two sides of the bezel with disk mounting tray.
5. Die Montage der Festplatte ist nun abgeschlossen.
The external hard disk drive installation process is completed.
3. Anschließen des externen Gehäuses / Connecting the External Hard

Anschließen der Kabel / Connecting the Cables
1. Verbinden Sie ein Ende des USB-Verlängerungs Y-Kabels an das USB 2.0-Kabel der externen
Festplatte.
2. Schließen Sie das andere Ende des Kabels an einen freien USB-Port Ihres Computers an.

2. Connect the other end of the USB 2.0 extension Y cable to an available USB port on your
computer.

Mit der rechten Maustaste auf „Computer“ klicken / wählen Sie Verwalten

Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche "Start" und klicken Sie auf Systemsteuerung, doppelklicken Sie auf
Verwaltung, und doppelklicken Sie dann auf Computerverwaltung.

Klicken Sie auf die Datenträgerverwaltung unter Datenspeicher. Ihre neue Festplatte sollte mit der
richtigen Kapazitäten dargestellt werden. (Siehe Bild oben Disk 1 zeigt rund 160 GB). Rechte Maustaste
auf den Datenträger 1, und dann wählen Sie Datenträger initialisieren.
Click the Disk Management under Storage. Your new Hard Disk Drive should have the right capacity
shown. (E.g. figure above Disk 1 is showing approximately 160GB). Right click the Disk 1,and
choose Initialize Disk.
Nachdem der Assistent gestartet wurde, klicken Sie auf “weiter”.
After New Partition Wizard launched, then click Next.
Auf der nächsten Seite wählen Sie die Partitionsgröße. Dann klicken Sie auf “weiter“

Danach weisen Sie Ihrer Festplatte bitte einen Laufwerksbuchstaben zu, und fahren Sie fort mit “weiter“.
After that, please assign a drive letter for the new Hard Disk Drive, and go to Next.

Das Formatieren der Festplatte. Wählen Sie NTFS als Dateisystem. Belassen Sie die Größe der
Zuordnungseinheiten auf Standard. Vergeben Sie einen Namen als Datenträgerbezeichnung.
Führen Sie die Schnellformatierung durch, um bei der Formatierung der Festplatte Zeit zu sparen.
Klicken Sie auf “weiter“.
To format a Hard Disk Drive. Choose the NTFS as File System. Leave the Allocation unit size as
default. Assign a name in Volume label. Check the Perform a quick format to reduce format time.
Click Next.
Bestätigen Sie Ihre Einstellungen und klicken Sie auf Fertig stellen.
Confirm your setting and click Finish.
Der Status der Formatierung wird nun angezeigt.
It would show the status as Formatting.
Nun ist Ihre neue Festplatte zur Nutzung bereit.
Now your new Hard Disk Drive is ready to use.
Wählen Sie Ihren Arbeitsplatz. Das neue Laufwerk sollte nun gelistet und einsatzbereit sein.
Go to My Computer, your new drive should be listed there and ready to use.
5. Trennen der Verbindung / Disconnecting the Hard Disk Drive
ACHTUNG: Um Datenverlust zu vermeiden, sollte das Ende von Schreib- und Lesevorgängen
abgewartet werden.
CAUTION: To prevent data loss, be sure to close all active applications before shutting down
the drive.
