Informationen zur Aufnahmeprüfung 2010
Information for all Applicants
Applicants must have submitted their application documents to the Student Administration office by
April 15, 2010 deadline in order to be invited to the entrance examination. Details on documents to be
submitted are listed below under 1.
The entrance examination will take place in June. When the administration office has received your
complete application, you will receive a written invitation with the date of your audition.

If you have questions about the programme or the entrance examination, please contact the head of
the programme, Prof. Paul Weigold (E-Mail: [email protected]).
Following the entrance examination, your will receive written notification from the registration office as
to whether you
• passed the entrance examination or not
and
• if you passed, whether you have been accepted for study.
Should you have been accepted for study, you will be registering for the Winter Semester 2010/11 and
beginning your studies on October 1, 2010.
During your course of study, you will be required to pay the registration fee of 250 Euros and the tuition fee of 500 Euros each semester. Further information on tuition can be found under
www.studienbeitraege.niedersachsen.de.
Some students may apply for a low-interest tuition loan which is independent of income. Further information is available under www.nbank.de.
Your registration fee includes your semester ticket for the city public transportation system, the Niedersachsenticket for trains within the province, your AStA (student union) fee and a fee for administrative costs.
Some students may also apply for assistance under the Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz
(BAföG). Students registered at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover should contact the
Studentenwerk Hannover (Abteilung Ausbildungsförderung, Callinstraße 30 a, 30167 Hannover). Assistance is usually given for the period of 1 year after which a new application must be made. Further

1. Application documents
In order to be invited to the entrance examination, the folloing documents must be submitted to the
Hochschule by April 15, 2010.

a curriculum vita with information about your previous musical training
3 passport photos
1 copy of your secondary school diploma
if applicable: documentation of your previous musical training
a medical certificate from a general practitioner (family doctor) and an additional certificate
from an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist on your vocal health. These certificates must be
dated after January 1, 2010.

9) In order to begin study, foreign applicants whose certification does not include university entrance documents in German or without a previously completed course of study at a
German-language university must also provide proof of their proficiency in the German
language. The Hochschule für Musik und Theater requires the TestDaF Prüfung (TDN)
Niveaustufe 3 (siehe www.testdaf.de) or the Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH-1).
The documentation must be sent with the application or presented at the entrance
examination.

Entrance Examination Fee
The Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover requires a fee of 30,00 Euros from all applicants for
all courses of study, which is duewith your application form. Your application will not beprocessed, if
the fee is not paid. Your receipt (either a printout from the bank or a copy of the account showingthe
payment) should be included with your application papers.
