The ski instructors of Selva Ski School
aren’t just ski instructors; many are also
world famous artistic sculptors. One of
them, Andreas Perathoner, specialises
in making trophies for different motorracing competitions, such as Superbikes
and Powerboats. In fact, in 1996 he created the winner’s trophy for the World
Championships in Superbike SBK and
Supersport, which are now classics in the
world of motor-racing.
The trophies are first formed in wood.
Then the sculpture is taken to a foundry,
where the bronze model is created. Wellknown drivers such as Colin Edwards,
Troy Bayliss, James Toseland and Carl Fogarty have already won this trophy in the
last few years.
From 2007, Andreas also produced
the trophies for the World Powerboat P1
Championships, for both the Evolution
