The 15th COSBID Meeting Innsbruck September 13th-14th 2013 Department of Neurology Division of Neurocritical Care Anichstrasse 35, A-6020 Innsbruck COSBID 2013 - The 15th COSBID Meeting Innsbruck General Information Welcome, Welcome to the 15th COSBID meeting Innsbruck. COSBID is an international cooperation of clinical and basic neuroscientists working in various participating centres in Europe and America. The goal of COSBID is to study mechanisms of secondary brain injury, most notably the relevance of repeated depolarizations in the acutely injured brain for local tissue damage and the longterm outcome of patients. The longterm persepective is to investigate, whether treatment of brain injury depolarizations may represent a potential target for neuroprotection. Ongoing clinical studies cover: (1) Traumatic brain injury (TBI); (2) Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH); (3) Malignant hemispheric stroke (MHS); (4) Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH); In this current meeting we will provide an update on ongoing and finished clinical studies, present latest data on cortical depolarizations and multimodal neuromonitoring in clinical and experimental models of acute brain injuries.
