Lisbon is proud and delighted to be welcoming the final of European football’s premier club
competition for the first time since 1967, when the Estádio Nacional hosted the showpiece event.
The venue for the 2014 final, the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, was formally inaugurated in
2003 and hosted several matches at UEFA EURO 2004 including the final.
Lisbon is Europe’s second-oldest capital. It is a soulful, captivating and picturesque town, offering
many cultural treasures and tourist attractions in a beautiful setting with a pleasant climate.

A paixão dos portugueses pelo futebol é conhecida em todo o
mundo. O Estádio da Luz, um verdadeiro hino ao futebol, irá

É com muita honra e prazer que Lisboa recebe a final da maior
competição de clubes a nível europeu pela primeira vez desde
1967, quando o embate decisivo se disputou no Estádio Nacional.
O recinto para a final de 2014, o Estádio da Luz – a casa do Sport
Lisboa e Benfica, foi inaugurado formalmente em 2003, tendo
sido palco de vários jogos do UEFA EURO 2004, incluindo a final.
Lisboa, a cidade anfitriã da final da UEFA Champions League 2014,
é a segunda capital mais antiga da Europa. É uma cidade cheia
de alma, cativante e pitoresca, com muitos tesouros culturais e
atracções turísticas, numa belíssima paisagem com um
clima ameno.
