Double walls in row houses with incomplete separation
Double walls in row houses with incomplete separation (English summery) Sponsered by: Bundesamt für Bauwesen und Raumordnung (BBR) Deichmannsaue 31-37, 53179 Bonn BBR Z 6 – 5.4-02.19 By using an unseparated ground plate and unseparated flanking cellar walls, a reduction of costs can be achieved in row houses with double walls. Further, due to reasons of engineering (protection against ground water) it can be called for creating a building without slits in the ground plate an in the cellar walls. Until now, there are no calculation-values given in the german DIN 4109 "Schallschutz im Hochbau" for the sound reduction of such these constructions with incomplete separated double walls. In extention to the calculation-scheme of DIN 4109 it is now proposed, to use a qualitative ∆Rw-additional to consider the incomplete separation. The proposed ∆Rw-additional is based on measurement-values of incomplete separated constructions. Further, for the first time, a calculation according to DIN EN 12354-1 is performed for incomplete separated double walls. This can be done by treating the incomplete separated junctions as generalized cross junctions with ground contact.
