The one-day-workshop Grant Writing covers the basics of grant writing.
Writing a successful grant proposal requires basic knowhow, content
knowledge, writing proficiency, strong research skills, creativity,
organizational ability, patience, and a great deal of luck.
This course will provide students with the background and skills
necessary to develop a competitive funding proposal. PhD students will
learn how to write a grant proposal start to finish.
Participants should bring a laptop computer with any operating system for
writing exercises. Copies of research proposal checklist, writing guideline,
list of useful phrases, and various sample abstracts will be provided.
