This partial facsimile reproduction of the 5th/6th edition of Wilhelm
Streitberg's Gotisches Elementarbuch (1920) was created in 2003 as
part of the Wulfila Project at the University of Antwerp (Belgium).
To avoid possible copyright issues, we did not scan the third part
(Dritter Hauptteil. Syntax.), which has been reprinted in 1981:
Streitberg, Wilhelm. Gotische Syntax. Nachdruck des Syntaxteils der
fünften und sechsten Auflage des Gotischen Elementarbuches.
Herausgegeben von Hugo Stopp. Carl Winter, 1981. ISBN 3-8253-2984-4.
The texts in the 4th part have equally been omitted since they can
easily be found in Streitberg's edition of the Gothic Bible (reprinted
in 2000) or on the Internet. The (limited) glossary however has been
included.
This document was created using open source software. Each page
was scanned with an HP Scanjet 5470c scanner and saved as a 600
dpi bilevel (monochrome) TIFF image measuring 2370 x 4000
pixels. The images were subsequently compressed with CCITT
Group 4 compression using Imagemagick 5.5.6 and can be
downloaded at the URL below. The PDF document was created with
XSL Formatting Objects, using Saxon 6.5.2 to generate XSL-FO
code and Apache FOP 0.20.5rc to render the document.
