Smart Energy 2014
With an increase of over 30% in the number of exhibitors reaching a current total of more than 80, the
“Smart Energy” section at E-world energy & water 2014 is now the largest in this field in the whole of
Germany.
Once again we managed to achieve not only an increase in the total number of exhibitors, but also in
the overall surface area of the trade show. This is due in part to a positive response from new exhibitors,
but also to the fact that established protagonists at E-world were either making use of additional space
in the “Smart Energy” forum or even moved their stand as a whole to Hall 4.
With the collaboration of ZVEI, BITKOM and the news portal e21.info, we gained three very strong
partners, who supported the event in terms of content, but also from the media perspective. Each of
the three partners was responsible for its own panel discussion in 2014 and thus also took part in the
theme-based content of the “Smart Energy” section.
Energy Revolution Forum 2014
The Energy Revolution Forum 2014 consisted of the integration of a range of subjects related to “Science
and Research” and an exhibition space that had been increased to nearly 400m².
The number of exhibitors from the political arena once again saw an increase this year. We had the
pleasure of welcoming three high-calibre organisations in the form of the German Federal Ministry of
Economics and Energy, the German Energy Agency and the Federal Environment Office, which are already
using the Energy Revolution Forum as a communication platform for political issues.
In addition, participants from the field of science in 2014 were also involved in the E-world programme
for the first time, particularly in the Energy Revolution Forum. Exhibitors from the field of science and
specialist presenters on the forum gave visitors an exclusive insight into current research projects and
their results.

Concept for 2015
Next year, in order to gather together all the main protagonists from the area of the Energy Revolution,
we have decided to integrate the “Energy Revolution Forum” into the section on “Smart Energy”. The
topics of politics, business, technology and science henceforth represent the cornerstones of the “Smart
Energy 2015” section at E-World Energy & Water 2015.
The challenges that arise from the integration of these cornerstones will preoccupy the energy industry over the coming years and will also pose new demands. With our new concept we are addressing all
those involved and are working across the different thematic areas.
We are thus actively integrating them into the policy making process of the new “Smart Energy” area
and are happy to discuss individual concepts for stands, participation in terms of content and strategic
development with them.
