Liebe Seglerinnen und Segler,
Dear Sailors,
in diesem Jahr feiern wir Jubiläum: Vom 7. bis 15. Juli
2012 findet die WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE bereits zum 75.
Mal statt! Darüber freue ich mich sehr, denn als gebürtiger Warnemünder und langjähriger Regattaleiter
der WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE liegt mir dieses Segelevent
besonders am Herzen.
Größer und größer wurde sie, die WARNEMÜNDER
WOCHE, schöner und professioneller – bei bleibender
Gemütlichkeit. Die familiäre und zugleich weltoffene
Atmosphäre lockt jedes Jahr über 1.500 Segler aus
knapp 30 Nationen auf eines der weltweit besten Segelreviere. Genau an dieser Stelle sehe ich die unmittelbare Verbindung zu meinem Präsidialbereich, dem
Breitensport.
This year, we are celebrating Jubilee: From 7 July to 15 July
2012 WARNEMUENDER WOCHE takes place already for the
75th time. I am especially pleased to this: As native of Warnemuende and former head of organisation of WARNEMUENDER WOCHE, this sailing event is still very close to my
heart.
It has become bigger and bigger, nicer and more professional – but coziness and sociability remained constantly. The
combination of a familiar and at the same time cosmopolitan atmosphere attracts each year more than 1,500 sailors
from almost 30 nations to one of the world’s best sailing
ground. At this point, there is a direct connection to my presidential area, which is amateur sports.

Auch 2012 blickt die internationale Seglerwelt wieder gespannt
nach Warnemünde zu einem der traditionsreichsten Segelsportereignisse Deutschlands. Die 75. WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE glänzt in diesem Sommer mit besonderem Charme: Zehn Tage lang werden die
vom DSV als hochrangig eingestuften Regatten in 25 verschiedenen Bootsklassen ausgerichtet, die die Internationalität und den
sportlichen Anspruch der Veranstaltung widerspiegeln.
Es war und ist das Motto dieser Segelveranstaltung: Sie soll allen,
den Teilnehmern, aber auch den Helfern und Organisatoren, Spaß
machen! Die Begeisterung für den Sport ist Ausdruck von Lebensfreude, Eigenschaften wie Teamgeist und das Vertrauen in die eigene Leistungsfähigkeit sind Basis und Ziel gemeinsamer und
breiter sportlicher Betätigung.
In 2012, the international world of sailors will again gaze at Warnemuende to one of the most venerable sailing events of Germany. This summer, the 75th WARNEMUENDER WOCHE convinces with a particular charm:
For ten days, contests – classified by DSV as high level regattas – are raced
in 25 different boat classes clearly reflecting the event’s internationality
and sportive demand.

It has been the motto of this sailing event until today: Participants, organisers and assistants are to enjoy the WARNEMUENDER WOCHE. Enthusiasm in sports is an expression for vitality, personal characteristics such
as team spirit and the faith in own ability are basis and at the same time
purpose of common sportive activity.

Dear Sailors,
die WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE ist ein konstantes Marketinginstrument für die Region, denn nichts passt besser
zu den natürlichen Ressourcen vor Ort als die weißen
Segel auf dem Meer. Das Geräusch von aufgetakelten Jollen im Hafen ist schon bei einer leichten Brise lauter als
das Kreischen der Möwen.
For our region, WARNEMUENDER WOCHE is appreciated as a
constant marketing tool, since it is the white sails and the
deep blue sea which suit Warnemuende’s natural resources
best. In case of a light breeze, even the sound of screaming seagulls is drown by that of rigged dinghies in harbour.
Mit der 75. WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE feiern wir in diesem
Jahr zusammen eine große Jubiläumsparty, dabei liegt
die erste Segelveranstaltung schon ganze 86 Jahre zurück. Undenkbar zu damaligen Zeiten, dass man einmal
online per Windfinder über die Luftdruckbewegungen informiert wird oder gar sein Hotelzimmer reserviert.
With this year’s 75th WARNEMUENDER WOCHE we are celebrating Jubilee – although the first sailing event has already taken place 86 years ago. And who would have
thought that information on wind and hotel rooms can be
found online one day?

But even if technology has advanced, our beautiful sailing area still keeps
its traditional charm.
It is not only the flat coast which is much appreciated by sailors; the sea’s
rough climate is appealing, too.
Doch selbst wenn die Technik voranschreitet, das wunderderschöne
Segelrevier ist uns stets treu geblieben.
Nicht nur die flache Küste mit ihrem langen Strand erfreut das Herz
vieler Segler, auch der raue Charme des offenen Meeres hat seinen
eigenen Reiz. Von Land aus betrachtet ist die Kulisse ähnlich beeindruckend.
Segelsportler aus 30 Nationen liefern sich heiße Regatten, während
die Schaulustigen an Land den Blick in die Ferne schweifen lassen
– heute wie gestern.
From the perspective on-shore, the setting is similarly impressive:
Onlookers are able to pursuit sailors from 30 nations ambitiously determining the winner of their boat class in different races – today as in the past.
Seit nunmehr 36 Jahren feiern wir auch ein Sommerfest in unserem Ostseebad. Beachhandball, Waschzuber- und Drachenboot-Rennen flankieren eine Vielzahl an kulturellen Höhepunkten.
For 36 years, we have been celebrating a summer festival in our seaside resort as well: Beach handball and the so-called Waschzuber and Drachenboot races are only a few of its cultural highlights.

WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE ... mehr als nur Segeln!
Alljährlich wird in der ersten vollen Juliwoche im Ostseebad Warnemünde die WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE ausgetragen. Zehn Tage lang
herrscht Sommer- und Partystimmung an Land, am Strand und auf
dem Wasser. Die Segler schätzen das Revier vor den Toren der Hansestadt Rostock aufgrund der kurzen Anfahrtswege zu den Regattabahnen, der langen Welle und des ungetrübten, meist kräftig
wehenden Westwindes. Und sie lieben die individuelle, freundliche Betreuung bei der Veranstaltung, die ihren eigenen Charme mit
internationalem Segelsport perfekt kombiniert. Die über 2.000 Segler aus 30 Nationen in 25 Bootsklassen bilden das Herzstück der
Veranstaltung. Rund 700.000 Zuschauer kommen alljährlich, um
vom Strand oder von den beiden Molenköpfen aus einen Großteil
der Wettfahrten live zu verfolgen und die Segler beim Ein- und Auslaufen zu beobachten.
Die Location ist perfekt ...
Zwei Yachthäfen - der Yachthafen auf der Mittelmole und die Fünfsterne Marina auf der anderen Seite der Warnow (Yachthafen Residenz Hohe Düne), der Alte Strom, sowie der Strand sind während
der WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE die Heimat der Segler: Von hier aus erreichen die Aktiven ihre Regattabahnen schnell und ohne weitere
Hindernisse. Gleichzeitig sind sie der ideale Ort für abendliche Klassenparties und gemütliche Abende im Hafen.
Das reichhaltige Kulturprogramm während der WARNEMÜNDER
WOCHE mit einem Umgang in historischen Trachten, Waschzuberrennen, Drachenbootrennen, Beachparties und jede Menge Musik
und Unterhaltung im ganzen Ort sorgt zehn Tage lang für Abwechslung an Land.
Das Ostseebad Warnemünde bietet darüber hinaus eine gute
Infrastruktur an Land:
Schicke Boutiquen, exquisite Läden sowie weitere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten laden zum Shoppen ein. Banken, eine Postfiliale sowie
Lebensmittelläden, eine Vielzahl von Restaurants und Kneipen, ein
Theater und ein Museum sind ebenso schnell erreichbar wie die Segelmachereien, Werften oder der Strand. Markant ist auch das Warnemünder Cruise Center, ein gläsernes Terminal, das mit 181 Anläufen mit rund 250.000 Touristen an Bord zu einem der beliebtesten deutschen Häfen für die Riesen der Meere avancierte.
... und die beste Basis zum Durchstarten!
Natürlich ist Warnemünde auch ein hervorragender Ausgangspunkt
für Wanderungen und Radtouren an der Küste entlang oder in das
Landesinnere. So liegt die Hanse- und Universitätsstadt Rostock nur
acht Kilometer landeinwärts und ist mit ihren 200.000 Einwohnern
die größte Stadt im Land Mecklenburg-Vorpommern und wirtschaftliches Zentrum der Region.
Auch touristisch hat sie einiges zu bieten: herausgeputzte Giebelhäuser aus der Hansezeit, das idyllische Kloster zum Heiligen Kreuz
mit dem Kulturhistorischen Museum, einige alte Speicher, das
Schifffahrtsmuseum und den Marktplatz mit dem barock verkleideten siebentürmigen Rathaus. Über allem die großen Backsteinkirchen und ringsherum die Stadtmauer mit den mächtigen Toren.
Dazu eine reizvolle Fußgänger- und Einkaufszone, Kinos, IndoorSpielplätze und einen großen Zoo. Etwas außerhalb findet man Unterhaltung auf Karl’s Erdbeerhof oder auch im Kletterwald. Ganz
leicht gelangt man von Rostock auch in andere interessante Orte
des Landes wie z.B. die Landeshauptstadt Schwerin, Barlachstadt
Güstrow, auf die wunderschöne Halbinsel Fischland-Darß mit den
idyllischen Orten Ahrenshoop und Zingst oder in das älteste deutsche Seebad Heiligendamm.

WARNEMUENDER WOCHE ... more than sailing!
The WARNEMUENDER WOCHE takes place every year in the first week of
July. For ten days, everyone has a great time in town, on the beach and on
the water. Sailors love this sailing site at the resort of Rostock, especially
because of its short distances to the race courses, the perfect waves and
the reliably strong westerly winds. They also enjoy the personal and
friendly care received throughout the event, which gives this regatta its
special charme. More than 2,000 sailors, 30 nations and 25 boat classes
are the core of this international event, and about 700,000 spectators travel to Warnemuende every year to watch the races live from the beach or
the mole heads.
A perfect location ...
The two harbours Marina Mittelmole and the luxury Marina Hohe Duene,
as well as the river Alter Strom and the beach house the sailors during the
WARNEMUENDER WOCHE; all of them are charming and delightful places
for both lively parties and quiet evenings. Short distances guarantee a quick
access to the race areas on the next morning.
Interesting cultural events, such as a traditional costume procession, a race
of self made swimming vehicles and dragon boat races, beach parties,
music and entertainment provide an attraction for everyone staying onshore!
In addition, Warnemuende resort provides an excellent infrastructure:
Within short walking distance you will find banking houses, the post office,
supermarkets, a great variety of restaurants and bars, the theatre, the museum, or sail makers, shipyards and, of course, the beach! Fancy boutiques,
interesting and exquisite shopping facilities are looking forward to serve
you courteously and with expertise. Another place of great interest is the
“Warnemuende Cruise Centre”, a glassy landing stage for the biggest cruising ships on their journeys through the European seas – Warnemuende
has become one of the most popular harbours in Germany for cruise liners
with 181 port calls and a passenger volume of over 250,000.
... and the perfect base for touristic activities!
Warnemuende, of course, is a brilliant starting point for long walks or bike
tours, going along the seaside or heading towards the inland.
In a distance of eight kilometres you find the university town and Hanseatic City of Rostock - with 200,000 habitants the biggest town of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania and the economic centre of the region.
Tourist attractions are the buildings from the Hanseatic period, an idyllic
abbey, some old store-houses, a museum of shipbuilding, brick-lined churches and the historic city wall.
The pedestrian precinct and shopping mall, cinemas and the zoo complete
the broad offer for an eventful and exciting visit. Nearby town, you will
find a strawberry farm, as well as a high-wire forest providing climbing adventures.
Also very easy to reach are other interesting places, including the regional
capital Schwerin, the Ernst-Barlach-town Güstrow, the oldest German seaside resort of Heiligendamm, or the beautiful and breathtaking peninsula
“Fischland-Darß” with its endearing villages Ahrenshoop and Zingst.

Mit dem Auto:
Teilnehmer, die ihre Basis im Yachthafen Mittelmole haben:
An der Abfahrt Rostock West (14) die A20 verlassen und auf die B103
in Richtung Warnemünde abbiegen. In Warnemünde der Ausschilderung zum Yachthafen Mittelmole, bzw. zum Werftbecken Warnemünde folgen (nähere Informationen siehe „Kranen“).
By car:
Participants based at Marina Mittelmole:
Arriving on the highway A20 take exit no. 14 Rostock-West. Follow the national route B103 to Warnemuende. At Warnemuende follow the signs leading to Yachthafen Mittelmole, respectively to the shipyard basin
Warnemuende (further details see „Utility of cranes“).
Teilnehmer, die ihre Basis im Yachthafen Hohe Düne haben:
An der Abfahrt Rostock Ost (6) die A19 verlassen und auf die B105
in Richtung Stralsund (Ausschilderung: Hohe Düne) abbiegen. In Rövershagen an der ersten Kreuzung links abbiegen bis Niederhagen,
rechts weiter auf der Bäderstraße, in Hinrichshagen links abbiegen
und über Markgrafenheide nach Hohe Düne.
Alternativ: Anfahrt wie Yachthafen Mittelmole, dann jedoch durch
den Warnow-Tunnel (mautpflichtig) oder in Warnemünde mit der
Autofähre (kostenpflichtig) nach Hohe Düne übersetzen.
Participants based at Marina Hohe Duene:
Arriving on the highway A19 take exit no. 6 Rostock-East and continue on
the national route B105 towards Stralsund (signposted: Hohe Duene). At
Roevershagen take the first turn left towards the village of Niederhagen,
turn right onto the Baederstraße, turn left in Hinrichshagen and via Markgrafenheide to Hohe Duene.
Option: Follow the afore mentionned directions and continue on B103, then
take Warnow tunnel (toll) or car ferry (extra fee) from Warnemuende to
Hohe Duene.

Mit dem Zug:
Bis Rostock-Hauptbahnhof, weiter mit der S-Bahn nach Warnemünde (Endstation). Fußweg zum Yachthafen Mittelmole oder zur

Die Fähren aus Dänemark, Schweden (www.scandlines.de), Finnland, Estland und Lettland kommen im Fährhafen Rostock an

By train:
To Rostock-Hauptbahnhof (main station) and via regional train “S-Bahn” to
Warnemuende (ultimate destination). Walk to Marina Mittelmole or ferry to
Hohe Duene takes 2 minutes.
By ferry:
Ferries from Denmark, Sweden (www.scandlines.de), Finland, Estonia and
Lithuania arrive at Rostock port (www.rostock-port.de).

General information for competitors
Die Anreise der Klassen für den zweiten Teil der WARNEMÜNDER
WOCHE kann nicht vor Mittwoch, 11. Juli 2012 erfolgen.
All sailors participating in the second part of WARNEMUENDER WOCHE are
advised not to arrive before Wednesday, 11 July 2012.
Alle Regattateilnehmer werden gebeten, die besonderen Verkehrsregelungen auf der Mittelmole, der Hohen Düne und am
Strand zu beachten.
All competitors are requested to comply with the special traffic regulations
within and around the Marinas Mittelmole and Hohe Duene and Warnemuende beach.

Sie sind notwendig, um
a) die große Zahl von Booten, die zur WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE
kommen, aufzunehmen,
b) die Verkehrswege für Polizei, Rettungswagen und Feuerwehr
freizuhalten.
Compliance is necessary
a) in order to host the large number of boats coming to WARNEMUENDER WOCHE,
b) to keep free traffic routes for ambulances, fire trucks and policecars.
Während der WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE wird an den Reisetagen eine
Einbahnstraßenregelung eingerichtet; weitere Informationen siehe
www.warnemuender-woche.com.
Bitte beachten Sie bei Ankunft die Verkehrsschilder und folgen Sie
den Anweisungen der im Auftrag der Veranstalter tätigen Hafenmeister und des Sicherheitspersonals.

• Das Grillen, bzw. Anzünden von Lagerfeuern und anderen offenen
Feuerstellen ist strengstens verboten.
• Das Baden und Angeln ist in Hafenanlagen strengstens verboten.

• Barbecue and bonfire are strictly forbidden in the harbour area.
• Das Arbeiten an den Booten inklusive Mast stellen, Mast legen
und Auftakeln ist auf den zugewiesenen Parkflächen sowie auf

Trainer- und Begleitboote
Coach and support boats
Im Sinne der Sicherheit und eines reibungslosen Ablaufs der gesamten Regatta sind folgende Grundsätze einzuhalten:
In the interest of safety and a smooth operation of the event, please follow the following principles:
• Vor der Nutzung müssen sich alle Trainer- und Begleitboote beim
Veranstalter registrieren lassen, die geltenden gesetzlichen Bestimmungen und Auflagen sowie die Coachbootregeln der Veranstaltung erfüllen. Der Veranstalter kann Registrierungen
zurückweisen und spätere Registrierungen nach eigener Einschätzung zulassen.
• Es sind pro Boot 25,00 € Hafengebühr zu entrichten (Nachmeldegebühr ab dem 23. Juni 2012: 35,00 €).
• Jedem registrierten Motorboot wird eine eindeutige Nummer zugeteilt. Diese muss sichtbar angebracht werden.
• Die Motorboote dürfen ausschließlich auf den ihnen zugewiesenen Liegeplätzen liegen.
• Die Veranstalter weisen darauf hin, dass Führer von Schlauchoder sonstigen Motorbooten den Sportbootführerschein See –
bei Ausländern den entsprechenden Führerschein ihres Heimatstaates – mitführen müssen.
• Die gesetzliche Höchstgeschwindigkeit auf der Warnow beginnend zwischen den Molenköpfen beträgt 6 kn.
In den Häfen und im Alten Strom gilt eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 3 kn.
• Trainer- und Begleitboote haben den Anweisungen des Hafenmeisters, der Wettfahrtleitung, bzw. Jury zu folgen.
• In Notsituationen ist jedes Trainer- und Begleitboot zur Hilfeleistung verpflichtet.
• Before using, all support boats shall be registered by the Organizing

event support boat regulations. The Organizing Authority may refuse registrations and accept later registrations at their sole discretion.
Kranen
• NEU: Kielboote mit der Basis Yachthafen Mittelmole, die auf dem
Landweg anreisen, werden an den Anreisetagen (Freitag, 6. Juli
und Donnerstag, 12. Juli 2012) und am Abreisetag 15. Juli 2012
entweder vom Kran des Warnemünder Segel-Club (Mittelmole)
oder vom Mobilkran im Werftbecken Warnemünde zu Wasser gebracht und wieder an Land genommen.
Die genaue Einteilung erfolgt nach Meldeschluss. Teilnehmer
werden vor Ort eingewiesen. Den Anweisungen des Hafen- und
Sicherheitspersonals ist Folge zu leisten.
• Alle Trainer- und Begleitboote (Registrierung erbeten!) werden
ebenfalls im Werftbecken Warnemünde gekrant.
• Entsprechende Ausschilderung zum Werftbecken vor Ort; Anfahrtsbeschreibung und -plan unter www.warnemuenderwoche.com. • Kranen für Kielboote mit der Basis Yachthafen Hohe Düne und für
Yachten über 6t werden im Yachthafen Hohe Düne vorgenommen (Anfahrt siehe Ausschreibung „Anreise“).
• Kranen 1 x zu Wasser und 1 x an Land ist im Meldegeld enthalten. Eine Ausnahme bilden Seekreuzer: Diese haben pro Hub
eine Krangebühr von 25,00 € zu entrichten.

Each boat shall pay a harbour fee of € 25.00 per boat (late entry fee
after 23 June 2012: € 35.00).
A unique registration number will be assigned to each support boat
which has to be presented clearly visible.
Support boats are to be moored only in the allocated berths in the
marinas.
The Organizing Authority informs that all helmsmen of dinghies or
other motorboats have to hold the appropriate German license –
e.g. international certificate for pleasure boats off shore – foreign
participants shall hold the adequate license of their home country.
The maximum speed on the river Warnow beginning between the
two pier heads is limited to 6 kns. Within the harbours and on
the river Alter Strom the maximum speed is restricted to 3 kns.
• All drivers of support boats have to follow any instructions given by the
Harbourmaster, the Race Committee or the Jury.
• In case of emergency all trainer- and support boats are required to help
out.
Utility of cranes
• NEW: Keel boats based on Marina Mittelmole arriving by trailer may be
launched and hauled out on arrival (Friday, 6 July and Thursday, 12 July)
and on departure (Sunday, 15 July 2012) by either the crane of Warnemuender Segel-Club or the mobile crane at the shipyard basin of Warnemuende.
The precise classification will be made after entry closing date. Participants are assigned on-site. Instruction of ports and security staff are to
be followed.
• All coach and support boats (entry required!) will be craned in the shipyard basin of Warnemuende as well.
• Adequate signage to shipyard basin on-site; clear directions and a detailed map on www.warnemuender-woche.com.
• Keel boats based on Marina Hohe Düne and yachts with a weight exceeding 6 tons shall only be launched and hauled out by the crane at
Marina Hohe Duene (arrival see NoR „Arrival“).
• During the event a craning fee for one launching and one haul-out is included in the entry fee. Exception: Sea cruisers. Those have to pay a
fee of € 25.00 per single launching / hauling.

Der Veranstalter weist darauf hin, dass auf den öffentlichen Parkplatzflächen (Betonfläche) nicht abgeladen werden soll. Das Abstellen von Fahrzeugen und Trailern im Hafengelände ist nicht

REGELN
Die Regatta unterliegt den Regeln, wie sie in den Wettfahrtregeln -Segeln- (WR) definiert sind.
Es gelten die Wettsegelordnung, Ranglistenordnung sowie
die Zusätze des DSV zu den Wettfahrtregeln. Bei den Deutschen Meisterschaften gilt zusätzlich die Meisterschaftsordnung des DSV. Diese sind auf der Internetseite des DSV
und im Regattabüro einsehbar.
Bei einem Sprachkonflikt ist der englische Text maßgebend.
Bei den Ordnungsvorschriften des DSV ist der deutsche Text
maßgebend.
Keine Änderungen der Wettfahrtregeln, die eine längere
Vorbereitung benötigen, gelten. Änderungen der Wettfahrtregeln stehen in den Segelanweisungen.

RULES
Races will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules
of Sailing (RRS).
The racing prescriptions (WO), ranking list prescriptions (RO) and
for German Championships the championship prescriptions (MO)
and the Addenda to the RRS of the DSV apply. English versions of
these prescriptions are available on the DSV website and in the
race office.
In case of conflict between languages, the English text will takprecedence. In the prescriptions of the DSV, the German text will
take precedence.
No changes of Racing Rules that require advanced preparation
will apply. Racing Rule changes will be listed in the sailing instruction.

The entry fee has to be paid with the online entry via the codified
website of our partner PAYONE (EC direct debit or credit card, no
bank transfer!). The Organizing Authority is to be authorized to

bird payment has to be made.
Entry is also possible by letter mail or fax – however, in this case,

The completed and signed official entry form shall be sent or mailed to the Organizing Authority. Applicable for compliance with

ANMELDUNG UND SEGELANWEISUNGEN
Die Anmeldung für alle Klassen erfolgt unabhängig von
ihrem Standort im Regattabüro Yachthafen Mittelmole ab
Freitag, den 6. Juli 2012, 9.00 Uhr. An diesem Tag ist das Regattabüro bis 20.00 Uhr geöffnet.
Die Teilnehmer erhalten dort ihre Unterlagen inkl. Segelanweisung und Programm.
Teilnehmer, die nicht bis eine Stunde vor dem Start ihrer
ersten Wettfahrt ordnungsgemäß registriert wurden, sind
nicht startberechtigt.
Bei der Anmeldung zu den Wettfahrten im Regattabüro hat
jedes Crewmitglied die unten stehende Haftungsausschlusserklärung zu unterschreiben.
Minderjährige Teilnehmer müssen den Haftungsausschluss
von einem Erziehungsberechtigten unterschreiben lassen
und spätestens bei der Registrierung abgeben. In jedem
Fall haben sie eine Ausweiskopie eines Erziehungsberechtigten vorzulegen!

Registration for all classes independent from their location is to be
made at the race office located at Marina Mittelmole from Friday,
6 July 2012, 9 am. At this day, the race office is opened until 8
pm.
Participants receive documentation including Sailing Instructions

Participants not being registered properly at least one hour prior
to the first start are not eligible to start at all.

Bei den 470er-Kurzregatten wird eine Vorrunde, Zwischenrunde und Endrunde mit je drei Wettfahrten in kleinen
Gruppen ohne Streicher gesegelt (siehe Anhang A).

In case that four or fewer races are completed, the score of a boat
series equals the amount of all race scores.

In case that five or more races are completed, the worst score is

In terms of 470er short races a preliminary, an intermediate and
a final round will be sailed with three races each, without discard

Jedem registrierten Motorboot wird bei der Anmeldung
eine eindeutige Nummer zugeteilt. Diese muss sichtbar angebracht werden.
Die Motorboote dürfen ausschließlich auf den ihnen zugewiesenen Liegeplätzen liegen.
Die Veranstalter weisen darauf hin, dass Führer von
Schlauch- oder sonstigen Motorbooten den Sportbootführerschein See – bei Ausländern den entsprechenden
Führerschein ihres Heimatstaates – mitführen müssen.

SUPPORT BOATS
Coach boats shall be entered by Internet and have to pay harbour
dues (until 23 June 2012 early entry of € 25.00 per boat, afterwards € 35.00 per boat).
10.2.
A unique registration number will be assigned to each support
boat. Support boats shall present their registrationnumber clearly
visible.
Support boats are to be moored only in the allocated berths in
the marinas.
The Organizing Authority points out that all helmsmen of dinghies or other motorboats have to hold the appropriate German licence - e.g. international certificate for pleasure boats off shore –
foreign participants shall hold the adequate licence of their home
country.
The maximum speed on the river Warnow beginning between
the two pier heads is limited to 6 kns. Within the harbours and on
the river Alter Strom the maximum speed is restricted to 3 kns.
All drivers of support boats have to follow any instructions given
by the Harbourmaster, the Race Committee and the Jury.

SAFETY REGULATIONS
Every helmsmen or -woman is responsible in every respect for
the way in which he or she sails his or her boat.
15.2.
In accordance with RRS 1.2 each boat is to carry adequate lifesaving equipment and each competitor has to carry personal, certificated and licensed flotation device.
HAFTUNGSAUSSCHLUSS
Die Verantwortung für die Entscheidung eines Bootsführers, an einer Wettfahrt teilzunehmen oder sie fortzusetzen, liegt allein bei ihm – er übernimmt insoweit auch die
Verantwortung für seine Mannschaft. Der Bootsführer ist
für die Eignung und das richtige seemännische Verhalten
seiner Crew sowie für die Eignung und den verkehrssicheren Zustand des gemeldeten Bootes verantwortlich. Der
Veranstalter ist berechtigt, in Fällen höherer Gewalt oder
aufgrund behördlicher Anordnungen oder aus Sicherheitsgründen, Änderungen in der Durchführung der Veranstaltung vorzunehmen oder die Veranstaltung abzusagen. In
diesen Fällen besteht keine Schadenersatzverpflichtung
des Veranstalters gegenüber dem Teilnehmer, sofern der
Veranstalter den Grund für die Änderung oder Absage nicht
vorsätzlich oder grob fahrlässig herbeigeführt hat. Eine Haftung des Veranstalters, gleich aus welchem Rechtsgrund,
für Sach- und Vermögensschäden jeder Art und deren Folgen, die dem Teilnehmer während oder im Zusammenhang
mit der Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung durch ein Verhalten des Veranstalters, seiner Vertreter, Erfüllungsgehilfen
oder Beauftragten entstehen, ist bei der Verletzung von
Pflichten, die nicht Haupt- bzw. vertragswesentliche Pflichten (Kardinalpflichten) sind, beschränkt auf Schäden, die
vorsätzlich oder grob fahrlässig verursacht wurden. Bei der
Verletzung von Kardinalpflichten ist die Haftung des Veranstalters in Fällen einfacher Fahrlässigkeit beschränkt auf
vorhersehbare, typischerweise eintretende Schäden. Soweit die Schadenersatzhaftung des Veranstalters ausgeschlossen oder eingeschränkt ist, befreit der Teilnehmer
von der persönlichen Schadenersatzhaftung auch die Angestellten – Arbeitnehmer und Mitarbeiter – Vertreter, Erfüllungsgehilfen, Sponsoren und Personen, die Schlepp-,
Sicherungs-, oder Bergungsfahrzeuge bereitstellen, führen
oder bei deren Einsatz behilflich sind, sowie auch alle anderen Personen, denen im Zusammenhang mit der Durchführung der Veranstaltung ein Auftrag erteilt worden ist.
Die gültigen Wettfahrtregeln der ISAF, inkl. der Zusätze des
DSV, die Ordnungsvorschriften Regattasegeln und das Verbandsrecht des DSV, die Klassenvorschriften sowie die Vorschriften der Ausschreibung und Segelanweisung sind
einzuhalten und werden ausdrücklich anerkannt.
Es gilt das Recht der Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
16.
16.1.
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
The responsibility for the decision of the person in charge to participate in a race or to continue with it is solely with him; to that
extent he also takes the responsibility for his crew. The coxswain
is responsible for the qualification and the correct nautical conduct
of his crew as well as for the suitability and the transport-safe
condition of the registered boat. In cases of Force Majeure or on
grounds of administrative orders or for safety reasons the Organizing Authority is entitled to make changes in the realisation
of the event or to cancel the event. In these cases, there does
not exist any liability for compensation of the Organizing Authority to the participant, provided that the Organizing Authority has
not caused the reason for the change or cancellation of the event
intentionally or by means of serious negligence. In case of a violation of obligations that do not constitute primary respectively
material contractual duties (cardinal obligations), the liability of
the Organizing Authority, no matter because of which cause in
law, for material and property damages of all kinds and their consequences that arise to the participant during or in connection
with the participation in the event resulting from a conduct of the
Organizing Authority, his representatives, servants or agents, is
restricted to damages that were caused wilfully or grossly negligent. When a violation of cardinal obligations occurs in terms of
simple negligence, the liability of the Organizing Authority is limited to foreseeable, typically occurring damages. To the extent
that the liability for damages of the Organizing Authority is excluded or restricted, the participant also relieves the staff – employees and representatives, agents, servants, sponsors and
individuals who provide or drive salvage, safety or rescue vessels
or assist with their use - from the individual liability for damages,
as well as also all other individuals who were instructed to act in
connection with the realization of the event. The effective racing
rules of the ISAF, the administrative regulations regatta sailing
and the articles of association of the DSV, the class rules as well
as the regulations of the invitation to the competition and the
sailing instructions are to be complied with and are expressly recognized.

The German law shall prevail.
17.
VERSICHERUNGSDECKUNG
Jedes teilnehmende Boot muss eine Haftpflichtversicherung, die auch bei Regatten gilt und die mindestens Schäden im Wert von 3.500.000,00 € deckt, vorweisen können.

racing area suitable casualty insurance with a minimum coverage

ZUSÄTZLICHE AUSRÜSTUNG

Durch die Teilnahme an der WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE übertragen die Athleten, Trainer und Begleiter dem Veranstalter,
seinen Agenturen und Sponsoren entschädigungslos automatisch das zeitlich und räumlich unbegrenzte Recht für
die Nutzung von Bild-, Foto-, Fernseh- und Hörfunkmaterial, das während der Veranstaltung von ihnen gemacht
wurde.
ANHANG A – 470er-Kurzregatten
A.1.
Der Kurs der Kurzregatten wird in der Segelanweisung festgelegt.

1. Runde:
Die Flotte wird in zwei gleichgroße Gruppen à etwa 10 Booten aufgeteilt. Jede Gruppe segelt drei Wettfahrten (ohne
Streicher).
A.3.
2. Runde:
Anschließend Neueinteilung in eine etwa gleich große
Gold- und Silbergruppe ohne Mitnahme von Punkten. Jede
Gruppe segelt drei Wettfahrten (ohne Streicher).

Endrunde:
Neueinteilung ohne Mitnahme von Punkten.
Die ersten fünf der Goldgruppe und der erste der Silbergruppe segeln in drei Wettfahrten das Finale. Die Plätze 6
bis 8 der Goldgruppe und 2 bis 4 der Silbergruppe segeln
das kleine Finale, die restlichen Segeln um das Bronzefinale.

Bei mehr als 24 Meldungen wird das System so abgewandelt, dass die 1. und 2. Runde in drei Gruppen gesegelt

coaches and attendants automatically grant to the Organizing Authority, their agencies and sponsors the right in perpetuity to
make, use and show, from time to time at their discretion, any
motion pictures and live, taped or filmed television and other reproductions of them during the period of the competition without
compensation.
APPENDIX A – 470er short races

The course of the short races will be defined in the Sailing Instructions.

Vorzugsweise online unter www.warnemuenderwoche.com mittels des Online-Formulars. Die Meldegelder
sind in Euro ausgewiesen. Das Meldegeld ist mit der Onlinemeldung über die verschlüsselte Internetseite unseres
Partners PAYONE (EC-Lastschrift / Kreditkarte, keine Überweisung!) zu zahlen. Der Veranstalter muss zum Einziehen
des Meldegeldes ermächtigt werden. Erfolgt die Meldung
und Bezahlung online bis zum 23. Juni 2012 ist nur der Online-Frühzahlerbetrag zu entrichten.
Eine Meldung per Post oder Fax ist ebenfalls möglich; hierbei entfällt der Online-Frühzahler-Rabatt.

Eligible boats are monohull offshore yachts with either ORC International, ORC Club or IRC measurement and Yardstick
yachts or One Design classes in case of at least three entries.

Preferably online via www.warnemuender-woche.com by completely entering the official online form. Fees are stated in Euro.
The entry fee has to be paid with the online entry via the codified
website of our partner PAYONE (EC direct debit or credit card, no
bank transfer!). The Organizing Authority is to be authorized to
collect the entry fee electronically. In case that both entry and
payment are done online until 23 June 2012, only the online early
bird payment has to be made.

Zuzahlung von 25% des Online-Frühzahlerbetrages.
Ein Boot, das für drei Seeregatten meldet, erhält bei der
Anmeldung ein Geschenk.
Ein Boot, das für alle vier Regatten meldet, erhält bei der
Anmeldung ein Geschenk und eine Erstattung von 20,00 €.
Für Boote, die bereits 2011 am Warnemünde-Cup teilgenommen haben, verringert sich das Meldegeld bei einer
Teilnahme am Warnemünde-Cup 2012 um 50%.

A boat entering for three offshore races receives a surprise gift
when registrating.
A boat entering for all four offshore races receives a surprise gift
and a refund of € 20.00 when registrating.
For boats that have entered for Warnemuende-Cup in 2011, the
entry fee for Warnemuende-Cup 2012 is reduced by 50%.

Der Anspruch auf Zahlung des Meldegeldes entfällt nicht
durch Rücknahme der Meldung oder durch Fernbleiben des
Bootes. Das Meldegeld wird nicht zurückerstattet.
Im Meldegeld der Seeregatta hanseboot Rund Bornholm
ist die in der Tabelle angegebene Anzahl an event tickets
enthalten (je nach LüA entweder 4, 5 oder 6 Stück).
Ein event ticket beinhaltet den Eintritt zur hanseboot Rund
Bornholm Party sowie die Erinnerungsgaben. Zusätzliche
event tickets können im Regattabüro erworben werden
(15,00 € für Crewmitglieder, 20,00 € für Gäste).
ZEITPLAN UND ANMELDUNG
Die Anmeldung für alle Seeregatten findet in den angegebenen Zeiträumen im Regattabüro Yachthafen Mittelmole
statt (siehe Tabelle auf nächster Seite).

In case that the entry is cancelled afterwards or the boat fails to
show up, entry fees are nevertheless non-refundable.

The entry fee of hanseboot Rund Bornholm contains the number
of event tickets shown in the table (according to the boat length
4, 5 or 6 pieces).
Each event ticket includes entry to the hanseboot Rund Bornholm
party as well as the souvenirs. Additional tickets can be purchased at race office (€ 15.00 for crewmembers, € 20.00 for other
guests).

SCHEDULE AND REGISTRATION
Registration for all offshore races is to be made at the race office
located at Marina Mittelmole within the indicated periods of time
(see table on next page).

INTERNATIONALE JURY
Ein Schiedsgericht oder eine Internationale Jury gemäß WR
Anhang N wird eingesetzt. Entscheidungen der Internationalen Jury sind gemäß WR 70.5 nicht berufungsfähig.
6.
6.1.
EINTEILUNG UND EINZELWERTUNG
Boote die nach ORC oder IRC gemeldet haben, werden nicht
nach Yardstick gewertet und umgekehrt.
Bei zu geringer Anzahl an ORC-International Meldungen,
werden diese Boote nach ORCclub in den ORCclub Gruppen
gewertet. Das gleiche gilt für IRC Yachten.
ORC-International und ORCclub Boote werden nach ihrem
festen TOT-Offshore-Wert (time on time), bei den Up and
Downs TOT-Inshore gewertet.
IRC Boote werden nach ihrem festen TCC-Wert gewertet.
Bei der Yardstickwertung wird die Yardsticktabelle des Segler-Verbands Mecklenburg-Vorpommern zu Grunde gelegt.
Weicht ein Boot von der beim Yardstickausschuss hinterlegten Deklaration oder dem Klassenstandard ab, muss es
die Abweichung im Einzelnen mit der Meldung beschreiben.
Änderungen in der Yardstickzahl zu Gunsten des Teilnehmers (z.B. Vergütung für Segeln ohne Spinnaker) werden
nach Meldeschluss nicht mehr angenommen. Das gleiche
gilt für Nachmeldungen.
Die Aufteilung in Gruppen erfolgt durch die Wettfahrtleitung.
Soll das Boot in die Wertung „schnellstes Charterschiff“
gehen, ist dies bei der Meldung anzugeben und der Chartervertrag bei der Anmeldung vorzulegen.
Für die Wertung „Beste Jugendmannschaft“ bei der hanseboot Rund Bornholm darf die Hälfte der Mannschaft das 21.
Lebensjahr noch nicht vollendet haben (eine Mannschaftsliste ist bei der Anmeldung einzureichen!).
Bei Anmeldung von mindestens drei Yachten erfolgt bei der
Wettfahrt hanseboot Rund Bornholm eine double handWertung.

INTERNATIONAL JURY
A protest committee or an International Jury may be appointed in
accordance with Appendix N of the RRS. In accordance with RRS
70.5, there shall be no right of appeal concerning the decisions of
the International Jury.
GROUPING AND RACE SCORING
Boats entered with ORC or IRC shall not be scored with Yardstick
and vice versa.
In case the number of registered ORC-International boats is too
small, the participating yachts will be scored by ORCclub in the
ORCclub classes. The same applies for IRC.
ORC-International boats and ORCclub will be scored according their
fixed TOT-Offshore (time on time) and at the Up and Downs TOTInshore.
IRC boats will be scored according their fixed TCC.
For Yardstick the yardstick table of the Segler-Verband Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania will be used.
Boats differing from the declaration at the yardstick committee or
the class standard shall specify the change with her entry.
6.5.2.
Changes of the yardstick factor in favour of the boat (e.g. for sailing without spinnaker) are not accepted after entry closing date.
The same applies for late entries.
6.6.
The nomination of race groups will be organized by the Race Committee.
For charter boat scoring, please mention “charter” on the entry
form and submit your charter contract at registration.
6.7.

In order to be scored for the “Youth Cup” half of the crew is to be
younger than 21 years. The crew list has to be submitted at registration.
6.9.
For the race hanseboot Rund Bornholm a double hand scoring will
take place starting from three entries.

HAFTUNGSAUSSCHLUSS
Die Verantwortung für die Entscheidung eines Bootsführers,
an einer Wettfahrt teilzunehmen oder sie fortzusetzen,
liegt allein bei ihm – er übernimmt insoweit auch die Verantwortung für seine Mannschaft. Der Bootsführer ist für
die Eignung und das richtige seemännische Verhalten seiner Crew sowie für die Eignung und den verkehrssicheren
Zustand des gemeldeten Bootes verantwortlich. Der Veranstalter ist berechtigt, in Fällen höherer Gewalt oder aufaus
oder
Anordnungen
behördlicher
grund
Sicherheitsgründen, Änderungen in der Durchführung der
Veranstaltung vorzunehmen oder die Veranstaltung abzusagen. In diesen Fällen besteht keine Schadenersatzverpflichtung des Veranstalters gegenüber dem Teilnehmer,
sofern der Veranstalter den Grund für die Änderung oder
Absage nicht vorsätzlich oder grob fahrlässig herbeigeführt
hat. Eine Haftung des Veranstalters, gleich aus welchem
Rechtsgrund, für Sach- und Vermögensschäden jeder Art
und deren Folgen, die dem Teilnehmer während oder im
Zusammenhang mit der Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung
durch ein Verhalten des Veranstalters, seiner Vertreter, Erfüllungsgehilfen oder Beauftragten entstehen, ist bei der
Verletzung von Pflichten, die nicht Haupt- bzw. vertragswesentliche Pflichten (Kardinalpflichten) sind, beschränkt
auf Schäden, die vorsätzlich oder grob fahrlässig verursacht
wurden. Bei der Verletzung von Kardinalpflichten ist die
Haftung des Veranstalters in Fällen einfacher Fahrlässigkeit
beschränkt auf vorhersehbare, typischerweise eintretende
Schäden. Soweit die Schadenersatzhaftung des Veranstalters ausgeschlossen oder eingeschränkt ist, befreit der Teilnehmer von der persönlichen Schadenersatzhaftung auch
die Angestellten – Arbeitnehmer und Mitarbeiter – Vertreter, Erfüllungsgehilfen, Sponsoren und Personen, die

Perpetual price „XXL-Cup“ awarded by Scandlines AG (see NoR
7.2.).
The responsibility for the decision of the person in charge to participate in a race or to continue with it is solely with him; to that
extent he also takes the responsibility for his crew.
The coxswain is responsible for the qualification and the correct
nautical conduct of his crew as well as for the suitability and the
transport-safe condition of the registered boat. In cases of Force
Majeure or on grounds of administrative orders or for safety reasons the Organizing Authority is entitled to make changes in the
realisation of the event or to cancel the event.
In these cases, there does not exist any liability for compensation of the Organizing Authority to the participant, provided that
the Organizing Authority has not caused the reason for the change
or cancellation of the event intentionally or by means of serious
negligence. In case of a violation of obligations that do not constitute primary respectively material contractual duties (cardinal
obligations), the liability of the Organizing Authority, no matter
because of which cause in law, for material and property damages of all kinds and their consequences that arise to the participant during or in connection with the participation in the event
resulting from a conduct of the Organizing Authority, his representatives, servants or agents, is restricted to damages that were
caused wilfully or grossly negligent.
When a violation of cardinal obligations occurs in terms of simple
negligence, the liability of the Organizing Authority is limited to
foreseeable, typically occurring damages.
To the extent that the liability for damages of the Organizing Authority is excluded or restricted, the participant also relieves the
staff – employees and representatives, agents, servants, sponsors and individuals who provide or drive salvage, safety or rescue vessels or assist with their use - from the individual liability
for damages, as well as also all other individuals who were instructed to act in connection with the realization of the event.

The effective racing rules of the ISAF, the administrative regulations regatta sailing and the articles of association of the DSV, the
class rules as well as the regulations of the invitation to the competition and the sailing instructions are to be complied with and
are expressly recognized.
Schlepp-, Sicherungs-, oder Bergungsfahrzeuge bereitstellen, führen oder bei deren Einsatz behilflich sind, sowie
auch alle anderen Personen, denen im Zusammenhang mit
der Durchführung der Veranstaltung ein Auftrag erteilt worden ist. Die gültigen Wettfahrtregeln der ISAF, inkl. der Zusätze des DSV, die Ordnungsvorschriften Regattasegeln und
das Verbandsrecht des DSV, die Klassenvorschriften sowie
die Vorschriften der Ausschreibung und Segelanweisung
sind einzuhalten und werden ausdrücklich anerkannt.
Es gilt das Recht der Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
SICHERHEIT
Hinsichtlich der Sicherheit und Ausrüstung der teilnehmenden Yachten gelten die „Sicherheitsrichtlinien, int. und
nat. Richtlinien für Ausrüstung und Sicherheit seegehender
Segelyachten“, neuste Ausgabe des DSV.
Die Langstreckenregatta „hanseboot Rund Bornholm“ fällt
in die Sicherheitskategorie 2. Die übrigen Seeregatten der
WARNEMÜNDER WOCHE fallen in die Sicherheitskategorie
4. Ausnahmen sind in Folge von Klassenvorschriften und
Konstruktionsbedingungen möglich.

SAFETY
The international and national rules for safety and equipment of
offshore yachts (“Safety regulations”), latest edition of German
Sailing Association (DSV), will apply with regard to the safety and
the equipment of all participating yachts.
The long distance race “hanseboot Rund Bornholm” is enclosed in
the security category 2. The remaining offshore races of WARNEMUENDER WOCHE are enclosed in the security category 4. Exceptions according to class regulations and constructional
measurements are possible.
11.2.
12.
VERSICHERUNG
Jedes teilnehmende Boot muss eine Haftpflichtversicherung, die auch bei Regatten gilt und die mindestens Schäden im Wert von 5.000.000,00 € deckt, vorweisen können.

INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with a valid and for the
racing area suitable casualty insurance with a minimum coverage
of € 5,000,000.00 per event or the equivalent.
13.
ZUSÄTZLICHE AUSRÜSTUNG
Boote müssen vom Veranstalter gestellte On Board-Kameras, GPS-Geräte oder ähnliche Ausrüstung in der vom Veranstalter festgelegten Form mitführen.

ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT
Boats shall carry on board-cameras, GPS navigators or similar
equipment specified and provided by the Organizing Authority.

RULES
The regatta will be governed by the Rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) 2009-2012.
No National Authority prescriptions will apply.
The ILCA Class Rule 7 (a) is restricted as follows: „Only one person shall be onboard whilst racing. The person shall be named on the
entry form.“
Sails shall have the full sail number AND NATIONAL LETTERS in accordance with the ILCA Class Rules and the RRS. The national letters
shall denote the National Authority of which the sailor is a member in accordance with RRS 75.2 and with 3.1 Entry regulations. This
changes RRS Appendix G 1.1.
Appendix P will apply, with some amendments specifified in Sailing Instructions (SI 16.1).
The EurILCA Ranking List rules will be applied.
If there is a conflict between languages the English text will prevail.

ADVERTISING
Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the Organizing Authority.

Only current fully paid members of the International Laser Class Association and of an ISAF National Authority may enter the regatta. These memberships shall be with the Laser Fleet / District Association and with the ISAF National Authority of the country,
where the sailor normally sails, even though such place may not be his permanent residence; however, such member, for any valid
reason and with the approval of both District Chairmen, may select instead the Fleet / District and the ISAF National Authority in
which he has permanent residence in accordance with the ILCA constitution article 10 (3) and ILCA rule part two article 9. The sailor
can only be member of one Laser Fleet / District Association.
The ISAF Sailor ID must be with the ISAF National Authority of the country, where he is a member of the International Laser Class
Association as of 3.1 Eligibility and entry regulation.
The sailor will be scored as member of the District to pertain and normally is reflected in his / her ISAF Sailor ID as of 3.1.1.
If a sailor is unable to present the membership card, he / she will be charged a fee of € 70.00, € 10.00 of which will be retained
by the collecting club, and € 10.00 will be retained by ILCA to cover administrative costs. € 50.00 will be passed on by ILCA to the
sailor’s district, which may refund it to the sailor if he / she is already a current member, or may put it towards that sailor’s membership fee if he / she is not a member.

AGE ELIGIBILITY
The Laser Europa Cup (Laser Standard Rig) is restricted to sailors who are born in 1995 or earlier.
The Laser Radial Europa Cup is restricted to sailors who are born in 1997 or earlier.
The Laser 4.7 Europa Cup is restricted to sailors who are born in 2000 or earlier having his / her 12th birthday before
the first day of the race. Male sailors are not eligible if born in 1994 or earlier.
Proof of age will be required at registration.
Each competitor shall be registered as an ISAF sailor. Sailors must have a valid ISAF ID for WARNEMUENDER WOCHE. To register as
an ISAF Sailor go to: http://www.sailing.org/2056.php. To avoid score duplication, sailors should ensure they use the same ISAF
number for every event entered.
Any sailor who has not, by the closing time for registration, completed registration at the Race Office of Warnemuender Segel-Club
will be removed from the list of sailors and will not be scored at this event.
This also applies to sailors who have complied with all other entry requirements

ENTRY FEES & MAILING ADDRESSES FOR ENTRIES
Entries must be made by the date specified on the ILCA website (www.laserinternational.org). Please check the information on the ILCA
website for individual races! Sailors not having completed the official entry form by the entry closing date and sailors not being able
to show a confirmation that the hosting club has received the according entry form by the entry closing date will be charged the late
entry fee. See also Notice of Race 3.6.

Internet (preferred): Online via www.warnemuender-woche.com by completely entering the official online form. Fees are
stated in Euro. Payment of entry fees has to be made via the codified website of our partner PAYONE (EC direct debit or
credit card, no bank transfer!). The Organizing Authority is to be authorized to collect the entry fee electronically.
Entry before 23 June 2012: € 60.00.
Letter mail & fax: The completed and signed official entry form shall be sent to the Organizing Authority. In this case, entry
fees are to be paid cash at race office during registration – provided that the competitor has indeed entered and sent the
complete entry form by the entry closing date (applicaple for compliance with the entry closing date is the postmark date
respectively the incoming time of fax). Entry before 23 June 2012: € 60.00.
Late entry fee after 23 June 2012: € 75.00.

SCHEDULE
There are two races a day.
The Race Committee may decide to split some or all of the classes into groups where each class has mor than 80 entries. This split is
mandatory if the entries of a single class are more than 85. A grouping system will be used and the colours will be re-assigned every
day as specified in the Sailing Instructions.
If the fleet is split as per 5.2 above, and at least 4 races were sailed, the last day the fleet will be divided in Gold and Silver fleets
(and bronze and emerald if in case) and raced in „finals“ format.
BOATS AND EQUIPMENT
All competitors shall use only one hull, sail, mast, boom, centreboard and rudder.
In the event of damage, boats and equipment may only be substituted with the written permission of the regatta measurer, Jury or Race
Committee. If the damage occurs later than 90 minutes before the first scheduled start on a racing day and before the start of the last
race of the day, provisional verbal permission shall be obtained from the regatta measurer, Jury or Race Committee. The written permission of the regatta measurer, Jury or Race Committee shall be applied before the end of protest time at the end of the day in which
the substitution takes place.
Women competitors shall carry a red diamond on each side of the sail (back to back) in compliance with ILCA Class Rule 4(g).
The rhombus shall be 240 mm high and 180 mm wide +/- 5mm and shall be located in the centre of the sail immediately above the
top batten pocket.

MEASUREMENTS
Boat and equipment may be inspected at any time for compliance with the ILCA Class Rules, wet clothing rules and Sailing Instructions
at the discretion of the class representative, Race Committee or International Jury.
8.
SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The approved Sailing Instructions for the Laser Europa Cup 2012 will be posted on the Official Notice Board and the ILCA website.
Sailing Instructions will be available from the on-site Race Office on the day before the start of each regatta.

Trapezoid courses will be used with inner and outer loops and an upwind finish.

PENALTY SYSTEM
Decisions of the Jury will be final as provided in rule 70.5.
Scoring penalties will be applied as specified in Sailing Instructions (SI 16)
To encourage boats to take penalties afloat, Jury members may blow a whistle in case they notice what they believe to be a breach of
a rule. If no boat takes a penalty, the Jury may lodge a protest.

SCORING
Competitors are divided and scored in the following categories:
• Laser Standard Rig: Overall, Boys Under 21 (born 1992-93), Boys Under 19 (born 1994-95),
• Laser Radial Rig Female: Overall, Girls Under 21 (born 1992-93), Girls Under 19 (born 1994-95), Girls Under 17 (born 199697)
• Laser Radial Rig Male: Overall, Boys Under 19 (born 1994-95), Boys Under 17 (born 1996-97),
• Laser 4.7 Rig Male: Boys Under 18 (born 1995-96), Boys Under 16 (born 1997-2000),
• Laser 4.7 Rig Female: Women (born before 1995), Girls Under 18 (born 1995-96), Girls Under 16 (born 1997-2000).
Scoring for series results in any of these categories shall be made by extraction from the overall series results without rescoring.
The individual regattas
For all classes, 2 races (completed by all groups) are required to constitute a series. When only one race is sailed, the regatta will be
counted for the Europa Cup Trophy, but the score point generating from the final result will be calculated with a one step downgraded
Grade factor (F).
Discards: will be managed as Sis 21.

The Europa Cup Trophy
The single event score will be collected and scored in the EurILCA ranking list, therefore the final position in the results list will be a
part of a formula constituting the final score. Ranking Points (P) are calculated using the following method:
P = R x Q x QT x YWF x F

Q = Quality Factor (max. value 1.5)
QT = Quantity Factor (max. value 1.5)
YWF = Year Weighting Factor (max. value 1.5)

Every calculated point (P) will be rounded up 1/1000.

Notice of Race
The Europa Cup Trophy will include all the events of Europa Cup, the Euromaster series events, the European championships, each District championship, the major regattas of each district.
The genral score will add the seven highest values of P over the last two years to determine the competitor’s total ranking score. No
more than the 4 best values of P over the last two years, related to the Europa Cup Races, will be counted.
The EurILCA Ranking list, including Europa Cup Trophy will be available at www.eurilca.org/ranking/rl.html.

PRIZES
Individual regatta prizes: Prizes for each regatta will be awarded in conformity of the categories listed as item 11.1 above.
Overall Europa Cup Trophy:
The winner of each category (14) noted in item 11.1 above will be awarded with a wild card for the next European championship of his
/ her choice.
12.2.2. ILCA prizes (cubes and plaques) will be awarded for at least the first 3 places in each category noted in item 11 above subject to ILCA
Honour Awards By Law.

TEAM AND SUPPORT BOATS
Team and support boats shall, at all times when afloat, be conspicuously identified by the country name, national letters or national
flag of the team they represent.
In order to be able to apply the support boats properly, each boat shall be registered online in advance and has to pay harbour dues
of € 25.00 per boat. Apart from 23 June 2012: € 35.00 per boat (late entry fee).
A unique registration number will be assigned to each support boat. Support boats shall present their registration number clearly visible.
Support boats are to be moored only in the allocated berths in the marinas.
The Organizing Authority points out that all helmsmen of dinghies or other motorboats have to hold the appropriate German licence - e.g. international certificate for pleasure boats off shore – foreign participants shall hold the adequate licence of their home country.
The maximum speed on the river Warnow beginning between the two pier heads is limited to 6 kns. Within the harbours
and on the river Alter Strom the maximum speed is restricted to 3 kns.
All drivers of support boats are obliged to follow any instructions given by the Harbourmaster, the Race Committee and the Jury.
SAFETY
Competitors shall wear personal flotation devices at all times when afloat, except briefly when changing or adjusting clothing or personal equipment. Wet suits and dry suits are not personal flotation devices. This changes rule 40.
Each event may introduce a check-in and check-out system, which will be detailed in the Sailing Instructions for each relevant event.
The sailing clubs, National Authorities and the International Laser Class Association, their officers, members and volunteers do not accept liability for loss of life or property, personal injury or damage caused by, or arising out of, the Laser Europa Cup and Laser Youth
Grand Prix regattas, and competitors take part in the regattas entirely at their own risk.
The establishment of the Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions in no way limits or reduces the complete and unlimited responsibilities of a competitor being solely and entirely responsible for the management of a boat he/she is sailing.
A competitor must be of good health and a competent sailor capable of sailing a Laser in strong winds. It is the responsibility of each
sailor deciding to participate in a race or to continue racing.

INSURANCE
Personal insurance requirement: Accident & health insurance and third party liability insurance – proof required at registration (photocopies will be sufficient).

Boat insurance requirement: Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a min
imum cover of € 1,000,000.00 per event or the equivalent.
17.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Additional information will be notified either from the International Office or from individual organising clubs.

Bis Meldeschluss am 23. Juni 2012 ist pro Boot eine Hafengebühr in Höhe von 25,00 EUR zu entrichten, ab dem 24. Juni 2012 fallen 35,00 EUR Gebühr pro Boot an. Die Bezahlung erfolgt in bar bei der Anmeldung im Regattabüro.
Der Veranstalter behält sich vor, Registrierungen zurückzuweisen und spätere Registrierungen nach eigener Einschätzung zuzulassen.
Alle Trainer- und Begleitboote haben die geltenden gesetzlichen Bestimmungen und Auflagen sowie die Coachbootregelungen der Veranstaltung zu erfüllen.
Until the entry closing date of 23 June 2012 each boat shall pay a harbour fee of € 25.00 (late entry fee apart from 24 June 2012: € 35.00). The fee has to be paid cash at race office during registration.
The Organizing Authority may refuse registrations and accept later registrations at their sole discretion.
All coach and support boats will be required to comply with local legislation and event support boat regulations.
Die in der Ausschreibung abgedruckten Bedingungen einschließlich des Haftungsausschlusses und der Medien-, Urheber- und Bildrechte erkenne ich an.

Der Campingplatz für die Teilnehmer mit Basis Yachthafen Mittelmole und Basis Warnemünde Strand (Höhe Leuchtturm) befindet sich auf dem Gelände der WIRO GmbH / ehemals
Scandlines AG direkt neben dem Yachthafen Mittelmole, 18119 Warnemünde. Als Campingplätze gelten die eingezäunten Bereiche.
Der Stellplatz für die Teilnehmer der Klasse 2.4mR mit der Basis Yachthafen Hohe Düne (keine Zelte!) befindet sich auf dem Gelände der Yachthafenresidenz Hohe Düne GmbH.
Auf die Beschilderung und die Einweisung durch die Parkplatzwächter und das Hafenpersonal ist in beiden Yachthäfen zu achten!
Die Campingplatzkarten können direkt beim Parkplatzwächter erworben werden.
Campsite for participants based at Marina Mittelmole and Warnemünde beach (next to lighthouse) are on the premises of the WIRO GmbH / former Scandlines AG next to Marina Mittelmole, 18119 Warnemuende. Campsites are considered to be fenced.
Campsites for participants of 2.4mR class based at Marina Hohe Duene (no tents!) are on the premises of Yachthafenresidenz Hohe Düne GmbH.
Signage and instructions of parking attendants have to be followed in both marinas! Tickets for camping are directly available at the respective parking attendant.
