Software as a Service
Definitionen
Saugatuck:
Quelle: Saugatuck 2008
IDC:
Gartner:
Software as a Service (SaaS) is a service delivery model made
up of a utility computing environment in which unrelated
customers share a common application and infrastructure that is
managed by an ISV or third-party service provider where Code,
intellectual property (IP) of the service, is typically owned by the
SaaS ISV or service provider.
Hosted web based software based on a single set of common
code and data definitions that are
consumed in a one-to-many model by all contracted customers,
at any time, on a pay-for-use basis, or
on a subscription based or on usage metrics.
