My name is Matteo Lonati, and I work in
Research & Development at Santoni SPA . Our
company produces seamless circular knitting
machines, seamless Warp machines, and large
diameter circular knitting machines.

Heute bedient Santoni 97 Prozent der
weltweiten Nachfrage nach Seamless-Rundstrickmaschinen. Die Maschinen werden von
ca. 800 Beschäftigten an zwei Standorten,
Italien und China, produziert. Die Unternehmen
Santoni und Groz-Beckert arbeiten seit vielen
Jahren an der Entwicklung neuer Projekte
zusammen.
Today Santoni satisfies 97% of world demand
for seamless machines. Our machines are
produced at two sites, in Italy and China, which
employ about 800 people. Santoni has been
working with Groz-Beckert on new product
development for many years.

Dank des neuen Technologie- und Entwicklungszentrums (TEZ) von Groz-Beckert wird
diese Zusammenarbeit weiter verstärkt.
Das neueste Projekt, das dieser engen
Zusammenarbeit entspringt, ist die Entwicklung
der Atlas-gg-90-Maschine von Santoni.
Today this collaboration has been further
strengthened by the new Groz-Beckert
Technology and Development Centre (TEZ).
The latest project developed by this close
collaboration is the Santoni Atlas GG 90
machine.

Für die von Santoni patentierte Idee, die die
Realisierung des höchsten Feinheitsgrades
erlaubt, der auf internationaler Ebene jemals
gebaut wurde, liefern uns die erfahrenen
Techniker von Groz-Beckert das komplette,
spezifische Know-how – kombiniert mit
modernster Ausstattung und Laboreinrichtungen, alles konzentriert im neuen Technologieund Entwicklungszentrum. Dies ermöglichte die
Entwicklung und Realisierung der feinsten
Nadel, die Groz-Beckert jemals hergestellt hat,
mit einer Stärke von lediglich 0,18 mm, sowie
neuer Systemteile in Kombination mit dem

Rundstrickzylinder von Groz-Beckert. Dank
unserer erfolgreichen Zusammenarbeit wurde
das Projekt innerhalb kürzester Zeit entwickelt
und fertig gestellt, was uns eine erhebliche
Einsparung bei den Forschungs- und Entwicklungskosten brachte.

Die Ergebnisse dieses ehrgeizigen Projekts
werden erstmals auf der ITMA 2011 vorgestellt.
Ich bin mir absolut sicher, dass wir mit
Groz-Beckert und dem TEZ viele weitere Ideen
evaluieren werden, die wir dann in Produkte für
unsere Kunden umsetzen.
The results of this ambitous project will be
presented for the very first time at ITMA 2011.
I´m absolutely certain that with Groz-Beckert
and the TEZ we will be looking for a lots of
other ideas and transforming them into
products for our customers.
