The generalized inverse Weibull distribution for modeling survival data: an application to data chemical dependents Priscilla dos Santos Cabral 1 Tiago Almeida de Oliveira 2 Marcelino Alves Rosa de Pascoa 3 Anderson Castro Soares de Oliveira 4 In this work, was adjusted the generalized inverse Weibull distribution (GIW) by the method of maximum likelihood for a set of data for the time dependence. It is concluded that the distribution GIW presented a satisfactory fit to the data in the study.
