Rick‘s V-Rod Tank
THE TANK HAS TO BE CLEANED INSIDE BEFORE INSTALLATION !!!
1.
Remove exhaust, rear wheel and swingarm.
2.
Remove seat, gas cap and gasket.
3.
Remove splash guard and cut it along the white line (pictures)
DER TANK MUSS VOR DER MONTAGE INNEN GEREINIGT WERDEN !!!
1.
Auspuffanlage, Hinterrad und Schwinge demontieren
2.
Sitzbank, Tankdeckel und Gummiabdeckung entfernen.
3.
Spritzschutz ausbauen und gemäß Abb. an weißer Linie trennen.

4.
Disconnect the fuel lines and electric connector.
5.
Remove ignition switch. Warning: risk of breaking!!!
6.
Remove the gas tank mounting bracket.
7.
Lift out the gas tank to the back. Don‘t damage the connectors.

Benzinleitungen und Stecker trennen.
5.
Zündschloss ausbauen. Achtung Bruchgefahr !!!
6.
Tankhaltebügel entfernen.
7.
Tank nach hinten herausnehmen. Dabei die Anschlüsse nicht
beschädigen.
8.
Cut the protection plate as you can see on the picture. Warning: open fuel
lines, fire danger !!!

Das schräg nach oben stehende Rahmenblech bei 220mm abtrennen.
Achtung Brandgefahr, offene Benzinleitungen !!!

9.
Mount the new Rick´s skid plate. Use skid plate as template.

Unterbodenschutz anbringen. Dabei das mitgelieferte Blech als
Bohrschablone verwenden.
Drill 2x Ø5mm into the frame tube to cut a threat M6.
Drill 2x Ø6,5mm into the remaing plate.
Now mount the skid plate as seen on picture.
Im Bodenblech Ø 6,5mm bohren.
Im Rahmenrohr Ø 5mm für Gewinde M6 bohren.
Den Unterbodenschutz mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben wie auf dem
Foto abgebildet einsetzen.

10. Remove gas tank pump injector group (tool HD 45324) and put it into the
new tank. Fit the gasket correctly
11. Mount the larger gas tank. Place the electric cable correctly. Don´t jam the
gas tanks vent tube!
12. Install the gas tanks mounting bracket, the splash guard, the ignition
switch and all other parts in reverse order.
10. Pumpenbaugruppe demontierten (Werkzeug HD 45324) und in neuen
Tank einsetzen. Auf richtigen Sitz der Dichtung achten.
11. Tank vorsichtig einbauen. Hierbei auf die Verlegung der Elektrokabel
achten. Tankentlüftungsschlauch nicht einklemmen.
12. Tankhaltebügel, Spritzschutz, Zündschloss usw. in umgekehrter
Reihenfolge montieren.
