Afin d’y parvenir, tu apprendras à utiliser une

à ton imagination en créant des objets mous.

alles aus Fäden und Stoffen machen kann. Dazu
wirst du lernen, mit einer Nähmaschine umzugehen
und kannst dann deiner Fantasie freien Lauf lassen,

what to do with thread and needle. You’ll learn how
to use a sewing machine and can then create your
own soft objects.

Villages, towns, cities, megalopolis: our cities grow
bigger by the day. In this workshop you’ll create

Avant d’être construit pour de vrai, un bâtiment
doit exister à petite échelle. En tant qu’apprenti
maquettiste, tu vas couper, plier et coller afin de
créer la maquette de ta maison imaginaire :
sera-t-elle ronde, grande, lumineuse, angulaire…?
Bevor man es wirklich erbaut, wird von einem
Gebäude erst einmal ein Modell hergestellt. Als
Modellbaulehrling kannst du ein Haus nach deinen
Vorstellungen bauen, durch Schneiden, Falten und
Kleben. Wird es wohl ein rundes, großes, helles
oder ein eckiges Haus werden?
Before you build a building for real, there has to be
a model first. By cutting, folding and glueing you’ll
obtain the model of your imaginery house: will it be
round, triangular or square...?

A la façon des artistes japonais contemporains,
nous allons réinventer la technique traditionnelle
des Ukiyo-e, ces anciennes estampes qui racontent
toute une histoire dans une seule image.
Wie die zeitgenössischen Künstler in Japan werden
wir die traditionelle Technik der Ukiyo-e wiederentdecken, dieser Grafiken, die Geschichten in einem
einzigen Bild erzählen.
Like contamporary artists in Japan we’ll revive the
traditional printing technique of Ukiyo-e, where a
single image tells a whole story.

Mudam Akademie - une histoire de l’art
du xxe siècle - Schlësselwierker aus der
Konscht vum 20. Joerhonnert
La Mudam Akademie vous propose l’histoire de
l’art du XXe siècle en accéléré : comment est-on
passé de la peinture figurative à la performance
artistique? Découvrez les mouvements et artistes
qui ont marqué le siècle dernier à travers dix
séances. Les conférences sont proposées en
français et en luxembourgeois à Luxembourg, au
Mudam, en luxembourgeois (certaines en allemand)
à Dudelange, Centre opderschmelz (Sujets
différents) et en luxembourgeois avec traduction
simultanée en français disponible à Ettelbruck,
Centre des Arts Pluriels. Les participants peuvent
s’inscrire sur l’année et obtenir un certificat de
participation établi par le Ministère de l’Education
Nationale et de la Formation Professionnelle.
Chaque conférence peut également accueillir des
auditeurs libres, en fonction des places disponibles.

Design Friends regularly invite designers for a
lecture at Mudam. Design Friends is a non-profit
association gathering people who are interested
in design and its creation, whether it is graphic or
not. It proposes many activities such as conferences
with well-known designers, evenings and events
focussed on creativity. Design Friends’ mission
is to put great design and fantastic designers in
the spotlight and share these ideas with a larger
audience of both professionals and design lovers.

Mudam emprunte le titre d’une œuvre de Su-Mei
Tse dans la Collection Mudam pour un rendez-vous
mensuel dédié aux mots, à la littérature et à la
parole. Chaque premier jeudi du mois des acteurs
ou artistes transforment et interprètent à leur
manière les mots qu’ils ont choisis de partager avec
le public.

Many spoken words von Su-Mei Tse stand Pate für
den Titel dieser Veranstaltungsreihe, in der es um
Worte, Literatur und Sprache geht. Jeden ersten
Donnerstag im Monat bringen Schauspieler oder
Künstler auf ihre ganz eigene Weise Worte zum
Vortrag, die sie mit dem Publikum teilen möchten.
Inspired by the title of a work by Su-Mei Tse in the
Mudam Collection, Many Spoken Words is an event
emphasizing on words, literature and speech,
taking place once a month. On the first Thursday
of each month Mudam turns into a performance
space for actors or artists to share texts, and their
interpretation of those texts, with their audience.

La Nuit des Musées : 12.10.2013
Le groupement « d’stater muséeën » organise « La
Nuit des Musées », un événement exceptionnel qui
met en exergue la vie culturelle luxembourgeoise
« after dark ». Entre 18h00 et 01h00 du matin
(entrée jusqu’à minuit), les musées proposent un
programme varié de visites guidées, rencontres,
performances placé sous le thème de la littérature.
Des navettes gratuites assurent le transport entre
les musées.

die Museumsnacht, eine außergewöhnliche Nacht,
in der das kulturelle Leben in Luxemburg « after
dark » im Rampenlicht steht. Zwischen 18 Uhr und

Le Medialab de Konstantin Grcic et Nitzan Cohen
est une installation originale à écrans multiples qui
accueille interviews d’artistes, images d’archives et
informations pratiques.

Informationen zeigt.
The Medialab by Konstantin Grcic and Nitzan Cohen
is an installation with multiple screens, used to
show interviews with artists, archive material and
practical information.
La boutique du Mudam offre la possibilité à
tout un chacun de trouver la petite chose qui
le fera succomber et mise sur une sélection
variée de produits originaux allant du gadget
à la pièce design. Le Design Corner présente
trimestriellement des réalisations de jeunes
designers.

contemporary art literature, Mudam publications
and postcards, and an outstanding selection of
handpicked objects, ranging from original items and
gifts to design pieces that cater to each and every
taste. The Design Corner showcases every three
months new products by young designers.

PARK DRÄI EECHELEN
Le parc entourant le musée, cadre exceptionnel
pour de belles promenades, accueille des œuvres
d’art et offre une vue imprenable sur la vieille ville
de Luxembourg. Le paysagiste Michel Desvigne,
qui l’a imaginé et conçu tel qu’il est aujourd’hui,
a reçu le prix luxembourgeois d’architecture 2011
(section paysagisme) pour ce projet.
Der Park rund um das Museum bietet einen außergewöhnlichen Rahmen für herrliche Spaziergänge.
Die erhöhte Esplanade bietet einen unvergleichlichen Ausblick auf die luxemburgische Altstadt.
Im Park finden sich diverse Kunstwerke. Der Park
in seiner aktuellen Form wurde von dem Landschaftsarchitekten Michel Desvigne erdacht und
entworfen. Für diese Arbeit, wurde er 2011 in der
Sektion Landschafts-gestaltung mit dem luxemburgischen Architekturpreis ausgezeichnet.
The parklands surrounding the museum make for
beautiful walks. The park also features a range of
artworks. It was landscape artist Michel Desvigne
who designed and arranged it as it stands today.
He was awarded the 2011 Luxembourg Architecture
Prize in the landscape design category for his
creative overhaul of the Dräi Eechelen Park.
