Summary
For your PLATINUM WebMaster (PWM) to be able to send e-mails or text messages, the following
prerequisites must be met:
1. The PWM is able to establish an internet connection.
2. The PWM has an e-mail account to send e-mails.
3. The respective message recipients must be set in the PWM.
4. The events to be sent must be configured for the respective message recipients.
5. The message recipient’s mobile phone most be configured for receiving e-mail.
Establishing the internet dial-up
Hardware
The “Internet dial-up allowed” switch on the WebMaster must be set to ON.
Modem
Call-up via navigation:
Configuration -> Modem -> Edit (login and password both „admin“)

Dial-up number of your internet provider (e.g. MSN)
When dialing up at a private branch exchange, it is possible that “0w” (dialing prefix
with pause) must be entered

User name with your internet provider’

not necessary if an internal mail server is used
Note:
The e-mail provider selected must support the SMTP authentication. At the moment, possible
providers are e.g. GMX, freenet and vrweb.
Other providers use the authentication “POP before SMTP” (e.g. Web.de, aol.com)

Mobile phone set-up
To be able to receive e-mails as text messages, the mobile phone must be configured for receiving e-mail. A
fee is charged for receiving e-mail.
The exact procedure may vary for the different network providers.
The receiving mobile phone’s an e-mail address will be in the format <telephone number>@<mail server>
(see Table 1)
