Architektonischer Höhepunkt ist die „Sky Lobby“ im fünften Stock, mit spektakulärem
Ausblick über die Stadt und 400 Quadratmeter Raum für Feste und Feiern, Cocktails
und Smalltalk. Beste (Sitz-)Gelegenheiten dafür bietet CORs Sitzmöbelsystem Affair,
das bequem, flexibel und jederzeit neu konfigurierbar ist. Genau wie die Ovo Sessel
wirkt es so, als sei es eigens für diesen Ort geschaffen worden – mithin das größte
Kompliment, das man einem Objektmöbel machen kann.
The architectural highlight is the Sky Lobby on the fifth floor, offering spectacular views
of the town as well as 400 square metres of space for parties and celebrations, cocktails
and small talk. The best seats in the house for this purpose are provided by COR’s seating
furniture system Affair, which is comfortable, flexible and reconfigurable at any time. Just
like the Ovo easy chair, it appears to have been created specially for this location – the
biggest compliment that contract furniture can receive.

Es ist ein großer Auftritt für große Kunst. Als weithin sichtbarer, gläserner Kubus ragt Güterslohs neues Stadttheater (Entwurf: pfp Architekten DBA , Hamburg) hoch über die Innenstadt. Im Inneren erschließt eine spektakuläre Wendeltreppe vom Foyer bis zur
„Sky Lobby“ sämtliche Geschosse und Funktionen. Das konsequent reduzierte Interieur ist in zurückhaltenden Schwarz-Weiß-Tönen
gehalten. Der Star, so die Botschaft, ist hier eindeutig die Schauspielkunst. Güterslohs neues Stadttheater bietet ihr die ideale Bühne.
It’s a great platform for great art. Visible from afar, the glass cube of Gütersloh’s new municipal theatre (design: pfp Architekten DBA ,
Hamburg) rises high above the town centre. On the inside, a spectacular spiral staircase provides access to all levels and functions,
from the foyer to the Sky Lobby. The interior is kept consistently reduced in restrained tones of black and white. The clear message is
that the star of the show here is the art of acting itself. And Gütersloh’s new municipal theatre provides it with the ideal stage.
