Wir suchen ehemalige Heidelberger. Wir laden zu einem regionalen Wiedersehen und Klubbegründung ein.
Whether you spent a semester, a year or your whole Studium at the Uni, you are invited. If you worked or did
research on the Neckar, we want you. All Friends of Heidelberg are welcome at the very first gathering of the
Heidelberg Alumni US (HAUS) Upstate New York Regional Chapter.
We will be hosting an informal lunchtime reunion of all interested Heidelbergers at the Rheinblick Restaurant, 224
South Main Street, Canandaigua, New York on Saturday, February 20 at noon. The Rheinblick has a traditional
deutsche Speisekarte, mit Currywurst und anderen Spezialitäten. You’ll get the very latest news about the Uni. You
will have the chance to chat and network with other former Heidelbergers. And, who knows, you may even run into
your old roomie from Haus Liselotte or down in the Haspelgasse! We will discuss the upcoming 625th anniversary
of the Uni’s founding coming up in 2011. And we encourage you to bring along memorabilia of your Studentenzeit
in the Altstadt or out in Neuenheimerfeld. We look forward to hearing YOUR ideas for the HAUS Upstate New
York Regional Chapter!
Please get in touch with us directly concerning any help we may offer you with directions to the restaurant. Our
luncheon will be “Dutch treat” to minimize impact on our club budget. Canandaigua has a charming main street with
many shops, and is also not far from the Bristol Mountain ski hills and several cross-country ski centers, so if you
are a skier you might want to spend the day in the area.
We realize that for some of you Canandaigua might not be exactly in your neighborhood. But we would like to take
this opportunity to inform you about the closest Regional Chapter and encourage you to stay in touch and give us
your e-mail information. If you would like to get involved in building a HAUS chapter in your area, we loved to
