Cross-section of the trough station
The suburban line Hamburg - Kaltenkirchen (AKN Eisenbahn AG) will be extended to a
2 track line partially built in a trough structure. The design of the new station
Eidelstedt Centre corresponds to the features of a subway station.

Sellhorn provided detailed engineering and structural design for all structures of a
2.6 km long section including:

In addition Sellhorn coordinated architectural and landscape designs, the planning and
installation of all technical facilities and security devices.
The works were completed early 2004 after 2.5 years of construction. During this
period the railway operation and the road traffic continued.
