Biografie

1995–2000 Studium der Visuellen Kommunikation, Kunsthochschule Kassel
Lebt und arbeitet in New York City und Frankfurt a. M.
→ Auf der Suche nach Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen vermeintlichen Gegensätzen, erforscht Eva Moll
– konzeptionell wie ästhetisch – urbane und organische Strukturen, um sie mit erfrischender, von subtilem
bis provokativem Humor geprägten, Leichtigkeit zu inszenieren. Ihr Werk verknüpft höchst autobiografische
Themen mit allgemeinen zeitgenössischen Phänomenen und verortet diese im Spannungsfeld zwischen
Kunstgeschichte und Popkultur. In ihren aktuellen Arbeiten verbindet die Künstlerin Malerei mit Aspekten der
Performance und Installation. Indem sie ihre Gemälde in räumliche und performative Kontexte stellt, schlägt
Moll jedoch nicht nur eine Brücke zu anderen künstlerischen Ausdrucksformen, sondern erschafft neue Werke,
die mit digitalen Medien festgehalten werden. Die bearbeiteten Aufzeichnungen setzt sie mittels Bildträger
bzw. Projektion in weitere räumliche und situative Zusammenhänge. Durch das mehrfache Wiederholen dieses
Prozesses entstehen vielschichtige, komplexe Werke mit multiplen Bezügen.
