colored water in acrylic glass basin, plastic planket, aquarium pipes,
jacquard (wool) in vacuum bag, cables, speakers, audiomixer,
contact microphones, aluminium masks, plastic foil, wooden boxes.

a performer plays a concert on a waterbasin.
a jacquard drawing is the notation.
the basin is miked and the audio signals manipulated by audio effects.
five masked people are filming and photographing during the performance.
the colored water leaves a trace on the planket.
after the performance the installation is a visual concept of thought.
For this work I operated as a director and asked several artists and
musicians to collaborate for specific functions, such as the composition or
the performance.

the collective «die bande» used the art institution «ausstellungsraum
klingental» in basel to create a hotel during the art basel week 2016.
with the internet plattform «air bnb» we were looking for hotel guests.
one room was 30 franks a night.
at the end it was fully booked.
we offered:
tents for sleeping, locker, self made natur shower, breakfast in the
morning and a bar at night.
two members of the collective were guarding the whole night.
during daytime from 12-6 the hotel was open for the public and so to
speak an exhibition situation.

Everyone got a mask at the entrance of the BAR-apartment.
inside there was art to look at (through the eyes of the
mask) and something fresh to drink (through the mouth of
the mask).
including: drawings, installations, sounds, a bar.
i organised this exhibition in my apartment during the stay
at BAR-residency in barcelona.

the opening of the publication for my work «exhibition for post-office
employees» took place at the end of february 2016 in the entrance of a
small postoffice in kleinbasel.
in cooperation with the graphic designer of the book, moritz
schermbach, i was selling my publication to the post office customers.
the swiss post office offers a commercial plattform to rent.
i payed 135 franks to get a small space of 2x2
meters for one day during the business hours from eight to five.
I was also allowed to serve fruits and coffee for free to the audience.

i used the application «postcard creator» for smartphones by the swiss
post to create a free postcard every 24h.
those i sent daily to my home adress for 4 weeks.
the front of the cards show the photograph of an artwork of mine and
the backside reads the relevant title and year of origin.
everyone who was involved between my mobile and my mailbox was a
visitor of the
«exhibition for post-office employees».

conceptual concert
with Samuel Tschudin
abnormis quodlibet was a conceptual concert with a length of
90 minutes.
there was no rehearsal. the musicians (professionals and laymen) got
the notation directly before concert.
the notation was a mixture between common notation (only for the
musician who could read those), images,
orders in textform and pictograms.
samuel tschudin and i conducted the musician through the
concert using inscribed boards.
it was developed for a one time performance at the venue
«gare du nord» in basel.
