HOCHTIEF is involved in what is currently one of the world‘s biggest infrastructure projects:

the construction of the new high-speed rail route between Taipei and Kaoshiung in Taiwan.
The contract with Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation (THSRC) has just been signed.
HOCHTIEF has been commissioned to complete a 40 kilometer long section of this route.
The contract is worth a total of about EUR 820 million (DM 1.6 billion). HOCHTIEF is
technical and commercial leader of a joint venture which – in addition to the HOCHTIEF
associated company Ballast Nedam of the Netherlands – also includes Pan Asia
Corporation. HOCHTIEF has a 55 percent share in the joint venture, Ballast Nedam has 30
percent.
Construction work is starting at once and will take about four years to complete.
