Grobblech
Die Grobblech-Fertigung von ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe
ist auf den Standort Duisburg-Süd konzentriert. Diese
Standortkonzentration, verbunden mit umfangreichen
Modernisierungs- und Erweiterungsmaßnahmen, führte
zu einer deutlichen Leistungssteigerung der Anlagen
und damit zur weiteren Qualitätsverbesserung als Basis
für Fertigerzeugnisse höchster Technologieansprüche.
Wasser/Luft-Vergüten und Direkthärten – sowie neuartige Prüfmethoden sichern einen hohen Qualitätsstandard der Erzeugnisse.
Moderne Verfahren bei der Stahlherstellung – beim
Walzen zum Beispiel das normalisierende Walzen oder
das thermomechanische Walzen, bei der Wärmebehandlung zum Beispiel die Intensivkühlung, das
Grobblech von ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe wird auf
einer nach dem neuesten Stand der Technik ausgerüsteten 3,9-m-Quartostraße gewalzt bzw. aus
Warmbreitband geschnitten.
Verbessert wurden insbesondere der Reinheitsgrad und
das Festigkeits- und Zähigkeitsniveau der Stähle sowie
deren Verarbeitungseigenschaften.

Heavy plate
The production of plate at ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe
is concentrated in Duisburg-Süd. Complete with
extensive modernization and extension measures,
this concentration into one plant has led to a clear
improvement in plant efficiency and further increases
in quality thus forming the basis for finished products
of the highest technological demands.
