Vaßen 1 Forschungszentrum Jülich Thermische Spritzverfahren Bei den thermischen Spritzverfahren werden Pulver beschleunigt, meist auch aufgeheizt und auf einem Substrat abgeschieden. Dabei können die Pulver als Ausgangsstoff vorliegen oder erst im Prozess durch das Abschmelzen z.B. von Drähten erzeugt werden. Die Beschleunigung der Partikel erfolgt durch eine schnelle Gasströmung, die durch reine Expansion oder durch Heizung über verschiedene Prozesse (Verbrennung, Plasma) erfolgen kann. Vaßen Sulzer Metco, Schweiz 13 Plasmaauftragsschweißen Forschungszentrum Jülich (PTA plasma transferred arc): Im Plasmagas (z.B. Ar, He oder Ar-He-Gemische) zwischen der zentralen Wolframelektrode (-) und dem wassergekühlten Anodenblock wird ein nicht übertragenes Plasma erzeugt. Danach wird ein übertragener Lichtbogen zwischen Kathode und Werkstück gezündet, alles unter Schutzgas (z.B. Ar oder Ar-H2). Ausgangspulver (meist Metallpulver) gelangt über Trägergas zum Brenner, wird im Plasmastrahl erhitzt, auf Werkstücksoberfläche aufgetragen, schmilzt vollständig im Schmelzbad auf dem Substrat, Werkstücksoberfläche wird angeschmolzen. PTA-Verfahren ermöglicht niedrige Vermischung (5-10 %), kleine Wärmeeinflusszone Große Auftragsrate (bis zu 20 kg/h), Echte metallurgische Haftung zwischen Substrat u.
