IMU is going to be the last single taken from Flashbaxx' 2008 release THE CHANGING TIDES EP, which
attracted rave reviews and huge radio airplay around the world. Actually we didn't plan to do a single from
an EP, that has been released one year ago. But then we recieved such great remixes, so there was no
reason to think twice.
With jazzy guitar licks and a fresh groove dutch DJ & producer D-Reflection brought IMU into his district and
made an uplifting house edit. This mate is also credited for the recently released club hit "Happiness Is
Taking Over" feat. Seth Sharp (AMM002), that gained him DJ support from some of house music's most
legendary names like Tony Humphries, Roger Sanchez, Robert Owens, Nick Holder and many more.
Globe trotting DJ & producer Quincy Jointz has already released a huge load of tracks on Funk Weapons
(US), Timewarp Music (GR) and Innvision Rec (AT) as GERIBA. Remix works for De-Phazz, Danny Massure
and Basement Freaks as well as his EPs got massive support from top DJs like Fort Knox Five, Mo' Horizons,
All Good Funk Alliance, Andy Smith (ex Portishead-DJ) and Flow Dynamics. Name dropping galore!!! No
wonder BBM has chosen such a fine artist for a remix. With funky beats, scratchings and additional horn
stabs Quincy Jointz made a feel good remix, that perfectly suits the lounge as well as the dancefloor.
BBM artist PNFA leaves his distinctive sound on IMU with a cunning arrangement of drum and synth
programming, that takes the original track straight onto the progressive / deep house floor. When you got
ambitious production skills like PNFA, it's going to be very interesting, how your next full lenght record will

Running several musical projects, an audio-branding company and a label can be
very fulfilling as well as time-killing and stressful. To say it in Daniel's words: "I only
leave my studio when I need to piss, eat or sleep and when I go out mostly I am the
one who plays there". Daniel Stenger’s various talents just won’t let you pigeonhole
him and putting any labels on him is not going to work. Although his alter ego
FLASHBAXX can be seated on a sofa in the lounge without any doubt, it will regularly
awake hungover on the dance floor of the basement club. The workaholic born in
1981 is a „Jack Of All Trades – Master Of None“. If as man on bass and synth
(FITZCARRALDO), behind his mixer at the BBM-Studio or as DJ, he always puts
100% of his heart and soul into it and he loves what he does.

IMU ist die letzte Single aus Flashbaxx' 2009 Release THE CHANGING TIDES EP, welche von Kritiker sowie Hörer sehr positiv
aufgenommen wurde und reichlich Radio-Airplay rund um den Globus verzeichnen konnte. Eigentlich wollten wir keine weitere
Single von einer EP veröffentlichen, die bereits vor einem Jahr das Licht der Welt erblickte. Aber als die Remixe eintrafen stand
ein Zögern nicht mehr zu Debatte.
Mit Jazz Gitarre und frischem Groove bringt D-Reflection, seines Zeichens House-DJ & Produzent aus den Niederlanden, IMU auf
seinen Dancefloor und steuert einen Uplift-House Edit bei. Dennis Molema hat im Frühjahr 2009 mit seinem Track „Happiness Is
Taking Over“feat. Seth Sharp (AMM002) einen kleinen Achtungserfolg gelandet und fing sich damit einige Schulterklopfer von
House-Legenden wie Tony Humphries, Roger Sanchez, Robert Owens und Nick Holder ein. Zurecht, wie wir finden.
DJ & Produzent Dirk Schäfer aka Quincy Jointz hat bereits die Schulter voller Hämatome und es kommen ständig neue hinzu.
Vielleicht liegt das an seinem grandiosen musikalischen Output, welchen er bereits mit seinem GERIBA Projekt auf diversen
Label wie Funk Weapons (US), Timewarp Music (GR) und Innvision Rec (AT) untergebracht hat oder in Form von Remix
Arbeiten für De-Phazz, Danny Massure und Basement Freaks. Den nötigen Support in Sachen Club-Rotation bekommt der
Freiburger von solch illustren Konsorten wir Fort Knox Five, Mo' Horizons, All Good Funk Alliance, Andy Smith (ex PortisheadDJ) und Flow Dynamics. Name dropping galore!!! Auch für BaxxBeatMusic hat er wieder seine Skills als Produzent zum Besten
gegeben und mit Funky Beats, Vinyl Cuts und Horn Stabs das Original in einen locker-flockigen „Feel Good“ Remix verwandelt.
Ob man jetzt dazu tanzt oder sich im Sessel herumlümmelt bleibt einem selbst überlassen.
BaxxBeatMusic Artist PNFA müsste eigentlich schon mehrere Schulterbrüche hinter sich haben in Anbetracht seines Know-Hows
in Sachen elektronische Musik. Ein kompromisslos treibender Beat gepaart mit ausgefuchstem Drum- & Synthprogramming
befördert IMU ohne Umwege auf den progressiven Deep House Floor. Wenn man derart ambitionierten Fähigkeiten an den
Synth-Knobs besitzt wie PNFA kann man auf das nächste Album mehr als gespannt sein.
DJ – Produzent – Musiker – Labelmacher – Multiinstrumentalist
Daniel Stenger in eine Schublade zu packen und mit einem Post-It zu beschriften wäre ein sinnloses
Unterfangen bzw. man müsste erstmal einen Schrank mit so vielen Schubladen bauen und genügend
Post-Its im Haus haben. Zwar lässt sich sein Alter Ego FLASHBAXX zweifellos in der elektronischen Suite
in ruhiger Lage unterbringen, allerdings wird dieser in regelmäßigen Abständen auch verkatert auf der
Tanzfläche des Clubs im Keller zu sich kommen. „Vielseitig“ und „intuitiv“ darf sich der 81er Jahrgang
ganz dick mit Edding auf die Backe pinseln. Ob als Bassist und Elektroniker bei FITZCARRALDO, hinter
dem Mischpult im BBM-Studio oder bei einer Jamsession mit Gitarre im Arm. Stenger hängt zu 100%
mit Leib & Seele drin. Er liebt was er macht oder um es mit einem Zitat seines Lieblings-MC
auszudrücken: „Ich will nichts anderes machen als das hier und zwar in Bestform...“
