I International Symposium of Thrombosis
and Anticoagulation in Internal Medicine
As the President of the Brazilian Society of Internal Medicine
I am honored to welcome you to the 1st. International
Symposium of Thrombosis and Anticoagulation in Internal
Medicine.
The main purpose of this symposium is to discuss the
most recent evidence on thrombosis and anticoagulation,
including new agents under development. The focus is
to understand how to better apply the evidence into
clinical practice so that the patients will gain and you will
enhance the quality of care you offer your patients. This
meeting provides a unique opportunity to witness the latest
knowledge in this field.
The clinical aspects including the most update treatments are
our major concern in order to offer you concise answers that
will help in the patient management on a day-by day basis.
I Hope you enjoy this scientific program and take advantage
of the presence of our expert national and international
faculty.
Antonio Carlos Lopes, MD, PhD, FACP
The opportunity to share ideas, and advance the care of
patients with thrombotic disorders, is the fundamental
tenet of practicing clinicians worldwide. This can only be
accomplished through knowledge gained from carefully
designed, meticulously conducted and honestly interpreted
translational and clinical research.
True to the lasting spirit of scholarly interchange, the
International Symposium of Thrombosis and Anticoagulation
in Internal Medicine, is a scientific program developed by
clinicians for clinicians.
Our primary objective over the next 3 days of devoted,
academic presentations and open discussions is to educate,
motive and inspire internists, cardiologists and hematologists
by convening National and International Visionaries,
thought-leaders and dedicated Clinician-Scientists in Sao
Paulo, Brazil.
Thank you for joining us and welcome to the Symposium.
Renato D. Lopes, M.D.
Richard C. Becker, M.D.
